It had been just under a week since the initial move, and it is safe to say that this has been one of the highlights of my entire life so far. Despite the bigger house, we have never been closer than we have been lately, and I think it's because of the excitement.

We are hosting a party tonight, which will give Roger chance to reveal the exciting news to the band about his solo album. Freddie has called round with a bouquet of flowers to say sorry, which of course I accepted. In all fairness he was drunk at the time, and was being immensely controlled by the demon that is, Paul.

It was only a small party, with the lads and their wives coming along. It was only Freddie, Roger and I that weren't actually married, but unfortunately for Freddie that was going to change soon. Maybe that's unfortunate for Roger too, as that means he's stuck with me now.

They all arrived and we chilled out in the living room. It was the first time they had all been around, and they all loved it, especially Brian. He said it was quaint and homely, which is exactly what we were going for with the decorations, Well me anyway: Roger just agreed.

We talked for hours, not drinking too much booze as they have a meeting the following day, which means they need to be bright and fresh to meet with the label. I stuck to a glass of wine, but a nervous feeling in my stomach made me put it down with one sip. It was obviously just nerves about Roger breaking the news, as I didn't have a clue how the boys would react.

Veronica and Chrissie are lovely women, and are both pregnant. It made me a little bit envious as I watched them exchange stories and talk to each other about lending maternity dresses and outfits to one another. However, I have never actually brought it up to Roger. Does he even want children?

"You okay, hun?" Veronica asked, her tiny bump barely showing through. It was her second child that she was expecting, and Chrissie's first. We were all thrilled for John and Brian when they broke the news, and I even went shopping with the two to pick out some outfits to surprise the two women.

"But I like this one" Brian groaned, holding up a blue hat with a moon on it.

"Brian it's lovely, but we don't know if your baby is a girl or a boy yet, so I'd go for yellow or white even" I suggested, holding up a white baby-grow with grey stars on.

"Prefect" he nodded, putting the tiny outfit into his basket.

"I think I'm getting these, Robert has similar ones so that should be okay... that should be okay right?" He asked.

"Yeah John, they're so cute!"

The memory made me smile, but what made me smile more was seeing the two pregnant ladies getting more and more excited as they awaited the arrival of their babies.

"Yeah, Sorry Just zones our for a second then!" I said, hitting my head lightly with my hand.

"Guys, I have an announcement" Roger smiled, and everyone looked over at him.

He gave me a nervous look but I nodded supportively.

"I have been offered a solo album! We've sorted it so I don't even have to leave the band at all, I can write my songs on the road to the next tour" He said nervously, awaiting an answer.

"Roger, that's brilliant!" Brian grinned, standing up and patting his best mate on the back.

"Well done Rog, I'm glad you're sticking with us too though mate" Deacy smiled, hugging him.

I gave out a sigh of relief, and the two girls laughed at me.

"I am so happy for you, but I always thought it would be me to fly the nest first! I'm only fucking with you, come here" Freddie joked, hugging his friend tightly.

"I'm so glad they took that well" I huffed thankfully.

"Aw Yeah, I doubt any of them would ever leave for a solo album, it's not them is it?" Chrissie said, patting my knee soothingly.

"God I hope you're right, they're so amazing together and I can't imagine what it would be like to not have them all" I said, looking over at the group of excited lads.

"So tell us... when are you and roger getting married?" Veronica asked, leaning forward in her chair.

"I have no idea! We haven't really focussed on the wedding as such, we know it will come along at some point but there's the tour coming up too" I nodded, and they reciprocated my action.

"Ooh we'll be friends forever!" Chrissie said bubbly, smiling as she spoke.

"I hope so" I smiled back.

"Come on ladies, we're playing scrabble!" John grinned, and the three of us groaned.

For some reason these lads loved playing scrabble everywhere. They even had a travel one for when they are on tour. It was cute really, and in all honesty it does highlight their intelligence.

We all sat around the board and began to place down the tiles.

"Size" Veronica said, placing four tiles down.

"Synthesise" Roger groaned at the word he placed down. The lads have wanted to use synthesisers for a while now, but roger is so against the idea of disco pop music.

"Photosynthesise" I wiggles my eyebrows, using their combined word to make the long one.

"Alright you biology nerd" Roger huffed, pushing his tiles forward in defeat.

"Double word! 70 points for me, please Bri" I smiled, and the curly haired man scribbled down my score, which was much higher than the others.

These lads are everything to me, and the fact that they are all so down to earth and the same people they were when I first met them means so much. It shows that they are not in this for the money, they are in it for enjoyment and to share their talent with the world. And I couldn't think of a more humble and kind group of people to call my best friends.
