66. Freedom

It's me again God,

Thank You for the freedom I have in talking to You as soon as I wake up. It really is such an incredible blessing and privilege! So many things can try to hold me captive throughout the day but that is not how You want me the live! Your Spirit in within me:

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank You so much for this freedom I have! Thank You Jesus for all You did in giving Your life for me:

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I will not allow myself to become a slave to fleshly desires:

"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself.""

My calling is to love You and others, to serve humbly in love. While I'm doing this, there is no time to indulge the flesh! I want to bring You glory and bring many into Your Kingdom!

"Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit."
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:24-25‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I am determined to keep in step with the Spirit today! My old passions and desires are not in keeping with this life of freedom l live. I pray that as Your Spirit works in me, much fruit would be evident —fruit formed because of freedom:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:22-23‬ ‭NIV‬‬
