125. Your Light Shattered the Dark

It's You again God,

I heard You in the night reminding me to hold on and keep believing, even though I was experiencing discomfort. You reminded me that all I need to do is call on the Name of Jesus and know I am protected from the enemy who wants me to think of all sorts of negative things and stay in a place of pain:

These particular words of I Won't Forget kept playing over in my mind:

Jesus, oh the wonder of Your name
Jesus, I'm forever changed
Jesus, oh the wonder of Your name
Jesus, I'm forever changed

You came in the night and tore down the walls
That held my broken heart
When all I could see lay ruined and scarred
Your light shattered the dark
(I Wont' Forget - Brian Johnson)

As I whispered Your Name Jesus, everything changed —Your light shattered the dark! I am so blessed to know You and follow You:

"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.""
‭‭John‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What a wonderful promise that when I follow You, I will never walk in darkness because I have the light of life inside of me! Thank You for dwelling inside of me by Your Holy Spirit so even in those hours during the night when sleep was difficult, I was not alone and as I trusted You, I felt Your gentle hand on me as I drifted back to sleep. I surely can say:

"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.""
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭91:1-2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank You so much for Your faithfulness to me:

"In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety."
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

In Jesus' Name,
Amen.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

As I began to pray and write this morning, I noticed what I thought was a mistake. I have started out all of my quiet times with the words 'It's me again God', because I would see myself as announcing that I am ready to talk to God. Today I wrote 'It's You again God'! No it wasn't an accident! God had broken through into my world as He often does and I was acknowledging Him! My posture was different, instead of talking so much, I was ready to listen and allow Him to lead the conversation!

I sense God wanting me to start a whole new book: It's You again God! Watch out for it, and keep listening to God today in whatever You are doing!

Thank You for joining me for It's Me Again God 2. It has been so good to pray and read His Word together!
