"No way." Padgett narrowed her eyes at Gianni. "It's my birthday, I don't want you here."

"It's the least you could do after cheating on me upwards of a million times." He spat back.

"Then why do you want to be here??" She questioned

"Because I don't trust you around (Y/n)!" Gianni exclaimed, pointing his finger at Padgett in accusation.

"God, get over it." Padgett groaned.

"Guys-" (Y/n) tried to interrupt but was quickly cut off by Padgett.

"(Y/n) can stay because this is the most action she's gonna get in her sad little life. Gianni, beat it." She addressed them.

"Either we both stay or we both go." Gianni said firmly.

Padgett looked between the two of them, despite her words and actions she did sincerely want (Y/n) there.

"Ugh, fine, this is basically fucking charity work at this point." She opened the door wider to allow the both in.

"Happy birthday." (Y/n) sqeaked out as she went past Padgett, she handed the other girl the envelope and it was snatched from her hands.

"Whatever."

It was a surprise to most other people at the gathering that Gianni was there. There was of course Tia, Orlando and Fiona but there were also around five other people who (Y/n) vaguely recognised that were there.

"Didn't know you two would be here." Orlando walked up to Gianni and (Y/n) who hadn't left each other's side since walking in.

"This one wasn't even invited." (Y/n) smiled and pointed to Gianni.

"Gate crashing? How rebellious." Orlando said with a small laugh.

"Right?" (Y/n) joined his happy expression and Gianni forced himself to do so as well.

"I'm surprised Padgett even let you in." Orlando cocked his head to the side in question and gestured for Gianni to respond.

"I'm sure it's just because she was too tired to kick me out or something." He ventured.

The tension between Orlando and Gianni could be sensed from a million miles away, especially with (Y/n) standing right by them and feeling wildly out of place.

"I see your eye has healed up nicely." Orlando pointed to the eye on Gianni he'd punched not long ago. "My lip's healed too. Not gonna lie, you've got a good hit."

Gianni furrowed his eyebrows inwards, him and (Y/n) were both confused by the sudden introduction of their falling out into the conversation.

"Um, yeah, you too." He replied unenthusiastically.

Luckily, before the awkwardness could be elavated anymore, Fiona's voice rang through the air:

"Everyone gather around for spin the bottle!" She exclaimed excitedly.

"What are we? Five?" Padgett trudged over to the circle that was forming around the empty bottle Fioan had placed on the floor.

"We don't have to-"

"I want to play." Padgett cut her off, never being one to deny any intimacy.

Gianni felt like his blood was curdling. Not only was he extremely averse to kissing anyone there who wasn't (Y/n), but he didn't want her kissing anyone who wasn't him.

"Come on, let's go." She tugged on his hand with a sweet smile on her face.

He held his tongue, he didn't want to come off as even more controlling as he was already was before he had the opportunity to ask her out.
