edited: I've been sitting on a piccrew I made of Gianni so long ago and I keep on forgetting to post it so here he is:
Once Gianni was sure that the drug had taken effect and (Y/n) was definitely going to stay asleep, he carefully removed himself from her side.It all felt a bit surreal, what he was doing and what he had done. Everything was happening so quickly, so much more quickly than he had anticipated.
He knew that his parents would be working at this time of the night but this could be life or death for him.
"What are you doing up at this time, Gianni." His father gruffly answered the phone.
"I need a favor."
So Gianni explained what was going on to his dad, he may had lied a little by saying that (Y/n) knew this was happening and was perfectly happy with living in isolation.
"I would only leave the cabin to attend school and (Y/n) would stay there when I'm away. I just need you to fake her death so her dad doesn't try to find her." Gianni was fairly hopeful that his dad would take to the plan well.
"I will see what I can do. You two should get yourselves to the cabin as soon as you can and I'll get some money transferred to you. There should be some imperishable foods there already and you can buy yourselves some fresh food tomorrow." The elder Carro answered.
A relived smile came to Gianni's face. "Thank you so much, that's great."
Their new home was a two hour drive from their town. Gianni felt a bit reluctant at the thought of driving that far to and from school everyday but it was for the best.
(Y/n) was still knocked out and sitting in the back of the car. Gianni would check his rear view mirror every few minutes to make sure she was alright.
He hadn't brought a lot with him, he'd been in such a rush to pack. He just brought some of his own clothes and shoes.
Gianni knew that the cabin at this point would be pretty run down and he'd need to buy quite a bit to get it looking alright again. He wanted nothing but the best for (Y/n).
"I'm telling you, darling-" Gianni said dreamily even though she was still fast asleep. "This is going to be the start of something amazing. You're not going to feel like that at first, no, I think you're going to be very sad with me."
He went quiet. There were going to be some growing pains and (Y/n) would probably dislike him and the entire situation for a while. The only thing Gianni could do was try and be the best for her, help her see why this was for the very best and hope the phase didn't last too long.
"I'll never be sad with you." His voice was weak. "I'll try to see things from your perspective, I'm not going to mess this up... But I won't let you leave."
Some part of him urged him to turn around, there were other ways to keep (Y/n) safe other than hiding her away and hiding with her probably wasn't the best idea. But the much larger part of him had it stuck in his head that she'd surely die without him.
"Baby, I think there's something wrong with me." He laughed and shook his head. "I think I'm unwell, very very sick in my head. You don't need to worry though... I don't think you do. I'll try not to hurt you, I wouldn't forgive myself for that."
The roads were becoming less and less populated and soon they were in another wooded area not unlike the one Felix resided in.
"Would you forgive me? I wouldn't. But you're kinder than I am..." He paused and checked on (Y/n) in the mirror, she still hadn't woken up. "You're so pretty..." Gianni sighed. "I want to touch you all the time, I always want more of you but I won't take it until we're married... But the thoughts are so... bad, I think you'd run screaming if you could hear them."
Gianni silently thought over what he'd said, he really was sick. Sick and disgusting for thinking about her in that way. How dare he? Especially after all that had happened, that should be the last thing he was thinking of.
He slowed to a stop outside the cabin. "Our new home." Gianni unbuckled his seat belt and turned around to look at the sleeping girl. "Are you as excited as I am?"
Gianni carried (Y/n) like she was made of glass and lay her down on the bed.
The cabin was quite small, only one story and only one bedroom. Gianni happily decided that he'd take the old couch until (Y/n) was ready to share a bed with him.
He knew she'd be waking up soon and he wasn't sure what to say. Should he be firm with her so she knew that there was no way she could run away? Or take a lighter approach so she was more comfortable?
The consequence of not having more time to plan was beginning to show.
That was when she started to stir, Gianni rushed to her side.
(Y/n) blinked slowly, the bed she was laying on felt significantly harder than Gianni's bed that she'd fallen asleep on. She opened her eyes and was quick to notice the different environment and then Gianni entered her vision.
"Gianni? Where are we?" She groaned while sitting up.
"We... we are somewhere safe." He took her hand gently in his. "I'm going to protect you."
"What are you talking about?" (Y/n) wasn't really sure what he was on about. How long was he planning on staying here for?
"You need to stay here for... well, at least until graduation." Gianni idly drew patterns on the palm of her hand with his finger.
"What about my mom... and Ronan? Wait- is this the cabin you told me about?" (Y/n) was still struggling to grasp quite what was going on.
"They don't matter." He dismissed. "And, yes, it is. I'll keep attending school and will get anything you need from town, you just need to stay here where you're safe."
"That makes no sense... Gianni, if you're going to school then why can't I? It doesn't-... I think you've jumped the gun on this, just take me back home." (Y/n) said calmly, thinking that Gianni would come to his senses.
Gianni smiled softly and shook his head. "You're not leaving, darling. You can try but you won't, we're too far out."
"You can't k-keep me here against my will." (Y/n) nerves began to rise when Gianni didn't concede.
"I have to. To keep you safe." He pressed a kiss to her hand. "I'm sure you'll come to understand soon."
"Gianni, this...this is crazy. You must realise that." (Y/n) cursed herself as she thought of all the signs she had ignored and dismissed becuase of her feelings for him.
"I know, but I... I love you too much."
