Gianni glumly stood outside of the school. They'd shut for the day in light of Padgett's 'accident' and it seemed that Gianni hadn't got the memo.

He sighed to himself, he could've been back at the cabin with (Y/n) this whole time. Things were obviously rough with them in the past few days with (Y/n)'s forced miscarriage and Gianni shooting Padgett, Gianni was hoping to fix things as soon as possible.

He missed her so badly that he ached, he thought that once she was with him he'd no longer have to want for her but she avoided him like a deadly plague. Gianni longed for the days where she'd let him kiss her and kiss him back, he would frequently replay all the times they'd kissed but it had been so long that he was terrified he'd forget.

Gianni groaned and got back into his car, he still wasn't quite used to his two hour commute. Everything he had to do without (Y/n) by his side was so dull anyway but driving silently was the worst.

Before he could start the engine up his mobile phone started to ring. He got excited for a moment as he thought it might be (Y/n) but he quickly remebered that it would be impossible for her to contact him on anything apart from the pager.

He looked at the number that was calling him. It wasn't one of his contacts and he didn't recognise it. Gianni accepted the call with some caution.

"Hello?"

"Gianni Carro?"

"...speaking." Gianni was hesitant, he could vaguely recognise the voice but couldn't pin it to anyone at that moment.

"Great. This is Felix Torres."

Gianni froze, a million possibilities went through his head. Felix had intended to kill him if (Y/n) didn't fulfil her end of their deal and she was obviously unable to do that.

If he was killed by Felix then (Y/n) would be left all alone, locked up in the cabin where she'd probably starve to death once food ran out.

He also felt a substantial amount of anger towards this man for endlessly hurting his darling. He wanted Felix dead but he wouldn't be easy to kill and his death would likely spark a lot of unnecessary conflict.

"Okay." Gianni breathed out.

"You remember where my home is, yes? You shot someone there." He could hear the fake smile on Felix's face.

"Yes... I'm not interested in seeing you." Gianni had no idea how Felix knew about him killing Hammond and his anxiety was steadily increasing.

"I know she's alive."

Shit. That was the only word the came to Gianni's head.

"Are you still there?" Felix asked.

"Yes." Gianni shot back, trying to feign some confidence.

"Great, if you could stop by real quick then no one needs to know where she is." The older man said smugly.

Gianni peered out of the window, did he have any other option? He had just wanted to get home to (Y/n) but it seemed like she'd have to wait.

"I'm on my way."

Gianni felt ill as he made his way through Felix's house. He had been given some instructions on how to find the office where Felix would be waiting.

The grim reality seemed to hang around the air as Gianni wondered what this man would have to say to him.

He knocked at the door he believed was correct and waited for an answer.

"Enter."

Gianni slowly let the door open and took a step inside.

Felix smirked upon seeing the teenager. "Take a seat. I won't bite." He gestured to the chair that sat on the other side of his desk.

Gianni took his time in sitting down. He wanted to curse Felix out and hurt him for what he'd done to (Y/n), but that was difficult when the man filled him with terror.

He looked around the office a bit, his eyes settling on a substantial hole in the wall.

"It's a bit scruffy, huh? It was (Y/n) who gave me that." Felix realised what Gianni was looking at. "That was after she dumped you."

"Why did you want me to come here?" Gianni switched his vision away from the wall to look Felix in the eyes.

"Don't look so scared, no one's going to die." Felix chuckled.

Gianni tried to put himself at ease but every part of him urged him to stay on guard when around (Y/n)'s father.

"She's with you, right? In your little 'safe house' that your parents think I don't know about." Felix correctly hypothesised.

Gianni tried to stammer out a negative answer but he was too overwhelmed to produce any noise past 'um's and 'ah's.

"I'll take that as a yes." Felix grinned. "And I'm guessing she's unhappy that you faked her death and kidnapped her."

"I-I... I don't know what you're talking about... none of that is true." Gianni lied terribly.

Felix laughed to himself. "Of course... I suppose you killed that Padgett Reyes too. Was (Y/n) happy about that?"

Gianni narrowed his eyes at Felix, this was all too unsettling. "I'm leaving."

"Would you relax? I'm not looking to ruin your plans, I'm only here to say that it's not gonna work." Felix leaned back in his chair and watched the range of expressions that crossed Gianni's face.

"Why wouldn't it?" Gianni challenged.

"Because I know (Y/n)... you're either gonna drive her insane or make her hate you.... or both, that would be fun. One thing's for sure, she's not gonna love you in her right mind." He explained.

"She loved me when we together, she still loves me deep down!" Gianni said defensively.

"Yeah, she loved you before she knew about all your shit. Before you locked her in your dingy cabin. And as for her loving you 'deep down'.... you don't really believe that?" Felix stood up and walked around to Gianni to out a hand on his shoulder that Gianni quickly shrugged off.

"You're trying to get in my head. Shut up." The teenager sqeezed his eyes shut and shook his head.

"It's working though, right?" Felix smiled and tilted her head to the side. "It's something worth thinking about."

"I'm not staying here." Gianni announced his departure for the second time and stood up.

"Tell (Y/n) I say hi." Felix requested.

Gianni rolled his eyes and walked away with no intent on fulfilling said request.

Felix's words rattled around Gianni's mind on the whole journey back to the cabin.

It wasn't true. He and (Y/n) would go back to the way they were someday and then only grow stronger as a couple from there. They had to.

He couldn't exist in a life where there was no chance of (Y/n) returning his adoration. But he needed her to be happy too. He was so conflicted as to what he valued more.

Gianni couldn't allow Felix to get in his head and succeed in what he wanted. Gianni had to find away to get both himself and (Y/n) away from Felix's influence.

He couldn't lose (Y/n).
