Things stayed the same for an entire week.

Gianni would go early, things would be strange at school and he'd come back late.

He'd try to talk to (Y/n) and she'd brush him off and then go to bed.

Repeat.

But now it was the weekend, Gianni had bought some clothes and pizza for her from the mall on Friday. She didn't end up eating the pizza since it reminded her of Friday night pizza with Ronan but Gianni put it in the fridge in case she wanted it over the weekend.

He was excited because now they could actually spend some meaningful time together unlike during the week when they'd only see each other for a few hours everyday.

Dropping out of school was growing more tempting to Gianni by the day.

He woke up early that day, his body clock had been severely fucked by waking up at four in the morning everyday.

He decided to make (Y/n) some breakfast in bed for their first weekend together. Gianni was determined to show her that they could be the way that they were before, he hadn't changed and she didn't need to either.

Gianni put some oil and bacon on a heated pan, he thought about how this weekend was going to go. He shouldn't get his hopes too high, her current feelings to him weren't going to change just because he made himself more present.

He was torn between being a bit harsher just to intimidate her into being kinder or staying the way he was, accomodating and passive. Sure, he didn't want her to be afraid of him and it could be a slippery slope but he couldn't stand the way she was treating him. It seemed he was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Part way through making breakfast, Gianni heard the bedroom door open. "Get back inside, I'm making you breakfast in bed!" He called to her while keeping an eye on the cooking food.

(Y/n) raised her eyebrows. "It smells nice."

Gianni had to smile, he just couldn't help it, that was probably the nicest thing (Y/n) had said to him since arriving at the cabin.

"Go back to bed, I'll bring it to you once in done in about two minutes." He told her.

"I'm up now, I'll just have it out here." The whole idea of a breakfast in bed sounded far too romantic for (Y/n)'s liking. She knew his intentions, he hadn't been trying to hide them but she was determined not to give in even if she wanted to.

This was wrong.

The temptation was to accept his ways and let him take care of her but (Y/n) couldn't sacrifice her happiness and freedom like that.

"Whatever suits you, darling." He sounded a little disappointed as he plated up the food but Gianni had the whole day with her and he was confident that he could make progress.

(Y/n) didn't intend to make conversation during breakfast but Gianni clearly had the opposite idea. He rambled to her every time his mouth wasn't full about anything he could think of.

(Y/n) kept relatively polite and answered with one word answers but both of them knew very well what was going on. She excused herself as soon as she was finished.

Both of them wanted the other to give up already, (Y/n) wanted Gianni to accept that she wasn't happy and that his actions were wrong and Gianni wanted (Y/n) to accept that she wasn't going anywhere and love him again.

They both had a stubborn streak that kept them from giving the other what they wanted.

"Do you want to do something?" Gianni entered the bedroom where (Y/n) was reading a different book while sitting on the bed.
