Legolas x reader part 2

Letter

I find a clean piece of parchment and a quill and start writing:

Dear Legolas,

I hope this letter finds you well, I have been staying in Asenlone for several days and am planning on leaving tomorrow. I'm going to travel Middle Earth and help where I can, I cannot stay in Asenlone when I know I can help. I hope that we meet again soon. I also have something to tell you that cannot be said over a letter. I am enclosing a silver whistle if you ever need help simply blow it and help will come. I hope that you find the man you are searching for and stay safe.

I seal the letter placing the whistle inside along with a simple silver chain. Walking over to the balcony I whistle and a large owl appears. I smile and tie the letter to its leg "Will you please take this to an elf called Legolas Greenleaf." the owl caws softly and takes off disappearing into the sky. I watch it for a moment then turn back to my room Skylar has fallen asleep and is snoring slightly. I move the book in front of her to the floor and pick her up gently putting her down on pillows that I put together as a nest. I leave the room and find my parents whispering to each other behind the door to the throne room. "You can't stop her from leaving."
"I'm her mother I will do as I please."
"She's old enough to do as she pleases. She's not a little girl."

"There is a darkness brewing I will not risk losing her." There is a loud sigh and I knock lightly on the door before pushing it open. "Mother, Father. I am leaving Asenlone tomorrow morning." My Father nods and my Mothers face falls "You cannot leave." I frown "May I ask why?" she frowns "You are our daughter and will do as your told." I frown "Mother I am leaving and your words will not stop me." she glares at my father "You must tell her to stay. It is too dangerous."  He smiles slightly "My dear I cannot force her to do anything, you must let her go."
"I will not." he sighs "My love please I know you fear losing her. But she is strong and can protect herself."

She glares at him then turns to me "You promise me you'll send letters?" I nod "And visit when you can?" I nod and smile "And keep weapons with you at all times?" I smile and take her hands in mine "Mother I promise I'll stay safe and send letters. But I know I can help others." she nods and places a hand on my cheek "Stay safe my child." she kisses my forehead before pulling away and turning to my father "I'm blaming you if she gets hurt." he smiles and kisses her forehead "I understand," he turns to me placing his hands in mine "Stay safe my daughter."

I smile and kiss his cheek "I will." I bow my head and walk out of the room to my own. I step inside and smile at Skylar who is sleeping soundly. I flop down onto my bed and sit up slightly when the door opens. Willow walks in smiling sadly "You're leaving again?" I nod and sit up "I'm sorry, but I know I can help." she nods "I'll miss you." I smile and stand hugging her gently "I'll miss you too." she smiles "Arlo and I are engaged." I smile brightly "I'm very happy for you." she smiles and shows me the ring which is a small gold band with two inlaid diamonds. I smile "It's beautiful."

She grins and I smile "I am sorry that I will miss the ceremony." she nods "It's alright." I smile and walk over to my desk pulling out a bracelet with stars on it. 

I place it on her wrist and smile "A wedding gift." she smiles "It's beautiful, thank you." I nod and smile "You are very welcome." I hug her again "I wish you a long and happy marriage." she smiles "Do you need anything before I leave?" I shake my head and she grabs my hand "Promise you won't leave without saying goodbye." I smile "I promise." she nods and walks out the room. I lie back on the bed falling asleep almost instantly listing to Skylars gentle snoars.
