I stand over the gate and see a familiar blue dragon flying towards us. I smile and Skylar lands next to me and hands me a folded piece of parchment. "Thank you." she stretches "There are orcs approaching, thousands of them." I nod and unfold the paper "I just hope the elves get here in time." she nods "They are coming." I read quickly:
Y/N,
We will come, I hope that we reach you in time. I was with a guard on the way to Rivendell. I have sent word to your mother and father telling them of our change in course and Lord Elrond is also sending for aid from Lothlorien.
Stay safe.
Ailmar.
I smile slightly "When did you leave them?" Skylar tilts her head slightly "Three days ago." I nod and stare out over the barren land. Others begin to line up along the wall of all ages. Night falls and there are men running around ordering others around. I grip my bow lightly in one hand and Skylar stands next to me "They are all scared." I nod and look up when the sound of an elven horn reaches my ears "They are here." I turn and run down the steps Skylar following in the air. I come to stop by Théoden as the gate as it opens allowing the elves of Lothlorien and Asenlone to walk in.
Théoden looks confused "How is this possible?" Ailmar and Haldir step forward and Haldir smiles "I bring word from Elrond of Rivendell. An alliance once existed between Elves and Men. Long ago we fought and died together. We come to honour that allegiance." Legolas, Aragorn and Gimli appear. Aragorn greets Haldir with an elvish salute before walking forward and embracing him. I grin and hug Ailmar "Thank you." he nods and smiles slightly "It is good to see you again." I nod "And you, how many?" he smiles "500 from Lorien and 200 from Asenlone." I nod and smile.
Haldir speaks again "We are proud to fight alongside Men once more." Théoden bows his head slightly and the elves join the men along the wall. Skylar stands on a tower of to my right and Ailmar stands on my right and Legolas on my left next to Gimli. I watch the masses of Uruk-hai approaching their torches casting an eerie orange glow in the air clutching my bow tightly.
Aragorn appears and stands behind Gimli who says "Well, lad whatever luck you live by, let's hope it lasts the night." Legolas nods and lighting streaks across the sky illuminating the mountains surrounding us "Your friends are with you Aragorn." I smile "Till the end." Gimli grins "Lets hope we last the night." Aragorn disappears and the lighting continues to streak across the sky the thunder echoing of every wall.
Heavy rain begins to fall and the clanking of the Uruks armour reaches my ears over the thunder. They come to stop several feet away and I loosen my grip on my bow slightly ready to fire at any moment.
