Legolas x reader part 2

Leaving Edoras

The next morning just as the sun is rising the villagers start leaving in a long line. A knight on a horse every couple of meters. Theoden two guards Leolas and myself ride at the front, Aragron rides next to the villagers and Gimli next to Eowyn. We ride slowly through the mountains and I double back several times helping villagers with young children and heavy loads. I end up walking and helping to carry things. Skylar sits on the horses back when she grows tired but spends most of the time scouting from the sky. 

I watch Gimli talk to Eowyn and smile broadly when he falls from his horse trying to brush it of as if he ment to do it. Legolas smiles "You seem happy?" I tilt my head slightly "I suppose, Gandalf and the Hobbits are alive and we are hopefully moving towards safety. But I worry for Frodo and Sam." he nods "I'm sure they will be alright." I nod and sigh "How was Mirkwood last time you where there?" he smiles "My father is still ruling strong he has changenged since the battle of five armies." I nod and he smiles "What of your home?"

I smile "Everything is quite. My family are happy and my brother had twins a boy and a girl." he nods and smiles. Everyone stops and dismounts settling for the night. Eowyn walks around offering stew but I stick to Lembas and an apple. Night falls and I fall asleep clutching my bow tightly and leaning my head on Skylar slightly. The next morning I walk with Legolas ahead of the others and we stand on a hill scanning the surrounding area. Skylar is circling above and all of a sudden she swoops down "I can smell orcs approaching they are on wargs." I nod and scowl "We must warn the others."

Legolas and I notch arrows on our bows and I hear two men screaming I run towards them shooting the wargs. Legolas kills the orc and I see Aragorn running back to the others warning them. More appear and I raise my bow. Legolas and I loose several hours before he mounts his horse. Skylar attacks from the sky but refains from using her fire. I see Gimli fighting on the ground and Legolas on his horse.

I kill several wargs and orcs before putting away my bow and drawing two of my swords. All the wargs are killed and I run over to Legolas "Where's Aragorn?" we walk onto a small outcrop of rock and an orc laughs choking. I put my sword to his throat "Tell us what happened and I will ease your passing." he laughs "He's dead. He took a little tumble of the cliff." The orc chokes and dies before it can say anything else. I walk away and scan the river below. Legolas appears next to me and I see the Evenstar in his hand.

Theoden turns away from the river and orders for the wounded to be put on horses. I mount my horse and Skylar flys next to me "What happend to the man?" I frown "He fell I fear he may be dead." Helms Deep apperas and the gates open as we ride inside. Eowyn appears "So few. So few of you have returened." Theoden nods "Our people are safe, we payed for it with many lives." Gimli walks over to Eowny and tells her of Aragorn. Skylar lands next to me and I place a hand on her head "Can you sit on the wall help keep watch?" she nods and smiles slightly "Of course."
