Gabby's POV: When I heard what name Matt wanted to use if we ever had or have a girl, I smiled because how much the name meant to me. "After Shay." He nodded and smiled at me. "I thought it would be fitting. I know how much you miss her and it would only be fitting that we name our daughter after her." I smiled and nodded while rubbing his chest. I then moved to kiss him as he grabbed my hand. "If we ever name a daughter after Shay, I want it to be our biological daughter. So, that would have to be through surrogacy."
Matt agreed and smiled before going to rub my butt. He then smiled as he kissed my forehead before whispering to me. "In the new year okay Gabby? I promise we will start in the new year. But right now, we need to save up. Either than or I have to take a loan out." I sighed when he said that. "Matt, don't take a loan out. We are not in a rush to have another baby. I mean, Matteo is only 10 weeks old and we just got married 2 months ago. So, relax and let's take it slow."
Matt chuckled when I said that. "Gabby, like we are really going to stick to that. I mean, this is us we are talking about. Within 4 years, we started dating...got pregnant, got engaged, tried to adopt, then divorced. So, it's not like we do stuff slowly." It was true. However, I didn't like the last part. However, I let it slide because it was the truth. Rubbing his chest, I then smiled when I heard Matteo make some noises. "Someone's trying to get our attention."
Turning to look at Matteo, Matt then smiled as he moved to rub his stomach and tickled him. "Is someone trying to tell me they want to watch football with me tonight?" I looked at him and smiled as I moved to kiss his shoulder. "You are not keeping him up late just to let him watch football with you." Matt nodded before turning his head and looking at me. "You really think I am going to watch football when I would rather be with you in bed? We both know that you are not going to watch football with me tonight." I nodded and sighed. "I'm not a football fan."
I was well aware of that. But, I was determined to get her to be a fan. A year ago, I went tailgating with Firehouse 51, Med and CPD. It was a great experience and I wanted to experience it with my family. "Gabby, at least come once to one of the first responder's tailgating parties. I had so much fun at it. And believe me, you would too. It's just like football night at Molly's but on a bigger scale. A whole lot of beer, dancing and lots of fun. Believe me, you would enjoy yourself."
Matt wasn't going to let go of this. This was something I was determined to get her to come to. I then sighed. "Fine, I go once until I say I'm bored. If I don't like it...you agree to take me home." I nodded and smiled when she said that. "You aren't going to regret this." Matt nodded and smiled before rolling over on top of her. I grabbed his back and smiled. "However, that means you are taking me on a nice Christmas date. Either that or a date on what would've been our 4th wedding anniversary."
Matt nodded and smiled. "I like the idea of going on a date on that night. While we won't be celebrating our anniversary...we can just celebrate us. How much we love each other and how much being in each other's lives means to us." I smiled when he said that before nodding as I moved my hand to his face. I then started to kiss him. God, I wanted him so bad. Maybe I could convince him to put Matteo in his nursery tonight. Give us intimate time in bed.
That's when I felt him move his hand up my leg and under my nightie. He smirked as he pulled away to see my reaction. He could tell I loved the feeling as he stared into my eyes. "Matt, you are really tempting me to let you take me all the way." Matt then pulled away and understood. However, that was not what I wanted to happen. "I never said to stop." Matt sighed and just looked into my eyes. He then laid down in bed and tugged me onto his chest. Wrapping his arm around my back, he then kissed my forehead.
"Gabby, it's to protect you. We both know that if we got too far...we won't stop. Not only is Matteo next to us but, we know what can happen if we get pregnant." I sighed when he said that but understood. Rubbing my back as he held me in my arms, Matt then turned his head and looked into my eyes. "Listen, if things were different and the aneurysm wasn't a problem...we both know that I would literally have already taken this off and made love to you. But..."
I just stopped him and leaned down to kiss him because I already knew what he was trying to say. It wasn't a secret that we both wanted each other more than we ever could have each other. Us making love was always fun. But now, it was dangerous. I hope now he was considering the operation more. "I think we should look into having that consult with the doctor that can help us." Matt then nodded because he knew exactly which doctor I meant.
I was talking about the doctor that could help Matt get a vasectomy. If we wanted to have a sex life in our marriage, he needed to get one. I could live without having more kids but...with my husband being as gorgeous as Matt is, sex was not something I could live without. I then moved to lay my head down on his shoulder and relaxed. Feeling his hand on my back, I smiled as he gave me some comfort. "I promise, someday we can go all the way again. I just don't have any condoms right now. I think we ran out recently."
I nodded and then smiled. "I'll buy some next time we have to go out then." Matt chuckled and nodded when Matteo started to cry. He turned to look at him and then checked the time. "It's time for him to get a feeding. How about you change him and I will go get him a bottle?" I nodded and agreed, giving Matt one last kiss before getting him up. "Can you grab me some water too? I haven't filled up my bottle yet?" Matt nodded and agreed as he came to grab my water bottle from my side table.
Looking at me and giving me a quick kiss before he left, Matt smiled at me before walking out to the kitchen in his boxers. One benefit of being alone right now is that we didn't have to wear clothes. And let me tell you this. Watching him walk away in his boxers was a turn on for some reason. Then again, anytime Matt is shirtless is a turn on because it allows me to get some intimate time with him without having sex. You know, I shouldn't really be complaining about not having sex. I am technically living on borrowed time.
I mean, the odds of me surviving the pregnancy because my aneurysm was low. The doctors only gave me a 10% chance of surviving a pregnancy. The fact that I am still here today with Matt and helping him raise Matteo means I am one of the 10%. I haven't felt more blessed than right now. After getting up from the bed, I went to grab Matteo and was about to make my way out to the fridge to grab a bottle when Matt came back in. "Here, you need one of these."
I smiled when I turned to look at him and nodded. "Thanks. I was about to come out." Matt then smiled and nodded as he moved to wrap his arms around me. "You know that I don't need sex to love you right?" I nodded and smiled when I said that. "I love you too." He then smiled as he kissed me quickly again before looking at me. "Want anything specific for lunch?" I thought about it and smiled. "Can you make us some chicken wraps? I think I bought chicken last time we did groceries." He nodded and smiled. "Be back soon. Let me burp him though."
I agreed and nodded as I went to sit down in bed so I could feed Matteo. I then secretly watched Matt walk away because I could never get that gorgeous sight out of my head. We both knew that I thought Matt was the most gorgeous man in the world. My belief in that was only confirmed by how attractive he looked right now.
But, he was even more attractive when he was holding Matteo against his shirtless chest. The sight of our son on his father's chest was a sight for sore eyes. Not just because of how handsome he is but because it is the sight I always wanted for Matt. He loved Matteo more than anything in the entire world and he showed it everyday he took care of me and him. He truly is the best father in the world in my opinion.
