Matt's POV: After watching a couple movies, I was now standing in the kitchen in my robe while making us some dinner. During the movies, Gabby and me talked about food I cooked while she was gone and I told her some meals. One she really didn't believe I could make from scratch. The meal? A chicken parmesan. I took on the challenge and started cooking without her help.
The pasta was already almost done and I was now just finishing up with the chicken. It smelled delicious. Just like I always made it when it was just me and Severide. I still had to tell her about those "bro-dates" as we called them. He and Stella broke up a few times yet, I still wasn't sure whether he was going to propose to her. I mean, how long is he going to wait?
Yet, he was also having a kid. And that reminded me...I needed to know if he found out the gender. For how far along the baby is, he must know by now. Deciding to give him a call, I put it on speaker hoping he wasn't on call. "Hey man, what's up?" I smiled when he answered. "Just calling to check in on my best friend. And thought about you having a kid."
Severide chuckled. "Let me guess, you guys are doing some spring cleaning?" He read my mind...again. "I just want to know if you knew the gender for the baby yet? Or if you know if the girl's going to find out?" Severide chuckled. "Lucky for you, it's a boy. We are going to name him Kevin Jackson Severide." I smiled at the sound of that. "Another K&M coming to CFD!"
Severide sounded confused. "K&M?" I smiled at him. "Kelly & Matt, Kevin & Matteo. K&M? You have to admit, our boys are going to be best friends." That's when I heard Gabby come out. "Severide's having a boy?" I turned to look at him and smiled. "His name is going to be Kevin Jackson Severide." Gabby smiled when I said that. "Severide, that's adorable."
Severide chuckled. "And she's moving to Chicago permanently. I already talked to my lawyer and we are going to get a formal custody arrangement made before the baby comes." Gabby smiled. "Remind me what her name is again?" Severide then responded. "I think I gave you the wrong name at first. But, it's Jennifer Morrison." I looked at him. "Like the actress?" Severide agreed. "Yes sir."
