Paint?

Luke's P.O.V-

I walk down the street with Michael beside me. We planned on buying paint for our baby's new room.

"Here is the paint shop" I say and we both walk in. I loved paint shops because they were all so colourful and quiet.

"What colour do you want?" Michael says picking up a book.

"Well, I don't want something really girly like pick but I want something cute for her. What about yellow?"

"That's cute, you could make it like a little duck room"

"That'd be so cute! Let me ring Maddie"

"She's going through enough stress, just surprise her" He smiles taking my phone.

"Okay but if this looks like shit-"

"I'll take the blame okay, live on the edge Hemmo" He taps my shoulder picking up two pots of yellow and white paint.

After buying the paint, we go into a baby shop where we buy a matching crib and pram. We then buy some cute toys and a couple of duck stencils to stick on her wall.

"Lets go home and paint" Michael smiles and drives us home. We take all our stuff upstairs without being interrupted as Maddie was over Anna's.

I put on some old clothing as Maddie always said to when we painted a room before.

"Pot" I say and pretending to throw the paint.

"DANGEROUS" He says getting up and taking it off me. I laugh as he opens the paint. We begin to paint the wall of my child's new room. The yellow made the room bright and it made me smile.

"It's already looking good and it's only been 5 minutes" I say and Michael nods.

We continue to paint until it was finally finished. The walls matched and looked adorable, ready for my baby girl.

"The walls are perfect, now for the furniture" Michael giggles and we walk into Michael's room to put the crib together.

After a while, we both got frustrated and called Calum as he was good at stuff like this. He comes over and makes it easily making us look stupid.

"Guys, this was so easy, you need to get some man power" He says showing his muscles.

"We are men we just don't put cribs together"

"No instead you giggle and play tag" He laughs while getting up, helping us move it into my child's room.

Finally, the nursery was finished. It had cute duck cutouts on the wall and the crib made it look cute with the toys inside to match.

"I hear Maddie and Anna" Michael says and the door opens and the house erupts in giggles.

"Lets go see if she likes it" I wink and run downstairs, Michael and Calum behind me. I run over to Maddie who laughs and cover her eyes. She licks my hand and I laugh.

"Release me" She says laughing.

"Licking me won't make me release you, I have a surprise" I say and she sighs.

"Don't made me trip like some people do" She says as I pick her up by the waist making her giggle. Michael, Calum and Anna follow us as I stand outside the nursery.

I take my hands away from her eyes and she turns to look at me.

"Is it finished?" she say looking excited.

"With lots of hard work, it's finally done" I wink and she slowly opens the door revealing the yellow walls.

She walks in and looks around her mouth parted. She looks at the toys and items ready for the baby. A single tear rolls down her cheek.

"Mads, you okay?"

"It's just so amazing" She giggles and pulls me into a hug.

"You like it?" I say doing my favourite eyebrow dance.

"I love it and I know our baby will too" She smiles putting her hand on her stomach.

"It's so close, I can't wait" I smirk as we all walk down to the living room. I sit on the sofa, Maddie flopping onto my lap.

"You're adorable, I love you mads" I say kissing her neck. She giggles as Calum and Anna get ready to leave.

"Stop we have guests who are now leaving"

"We were going anyway, I'm glad you liked the new baby's room. See you later guys" Calum smirks as they leave.

Michael, Maddie and I continue to sit on the sofa and just talk about the future and what we wanted to do. Maddie said how she wants to just have happiness with our kids, I wanted that too. I couldn't wait to see what the future held for me.
