The 18th party

Maddie's P.O.V-

I drive to the venue and find Calum with Michael outside. I walk over and give them both a hug.

"Do you know how hard it is to get Luke to leave?" I say and they both giggle.

"Yes. Imagine getting him out when you left for a year"

"I'm sorry" I say biting my lip.

"No I'm sorry, that was way too far" Michael says looking to his shoes.

"Don't be sorry, it's true" I say biting my lower lip.

"It's all dealt with now, don't worry. Let's forget about it" Calum smiles and I nod.

We walk in and all around us are balloons and banners. I meet up with Jenny, the venue owner who I help decorate.

"So he's 18?" She smiles.

"He doesn't act it" I joke. I didn't really know what else to say, I'm a pretty awkward person.

"What's he like? Personality I mean" She says handing me a stapler.

"He's very sweet, kind of awkward but that's what I love about him" I smile while thinking of him.

"That's cute. What music does he like?"

"He likes bands. Stuff like Green-day, red hot chilli peppers, Nirvana. All bands like that"

"You?"

"I'm more of a my chemical romance and all time low kind of girl"

"I'm more of a JLS and take that kind of girl. I like boy bands" She smirks.

"One direction?"

"I like them but I'm not obsessed. They're 20 and I'm 25"

"They're coming tonight" I smile and she opens her mouth in shock.

"Who are you dating?"

"Luke Hemmings from 5 seconds of summer"

"Shut the hell up. You mean I'm hosting Luke Hemmings' party?" She says her eyes getting wide.

"Yep. No pressure" I say putting up the final balloon. I look up at her and she laughs. I walk over to Calum who had finally put all the banners up with Michael.

"We're done"

"So are we. Just the food" I say and she nods.

"Go get changed, you only have a couple of hours!" She says and I nod.

"Ring me if there's a problem!" I leave with Malum and drive home. I drive quite slowly ever since the car accident, it was now my new fear.

I get home and go up to my room. I begin the makeup which takes awhile as I had to make it look like my cheek bones were showing, I was going as a skeleton considering it was fancy dress. After an hour, I change into my skin tight skeleton outfit with a pair of gloves. Soon, Jack comes in with Celeste who were going as two police members.

"Damn Maddie, you look hot" Celeste says and I blush.

"So do you! Wow" I say and then she also begins blush.

"We better go, mum's coming back with Luke" Jack says and all three of us race out the house. We all get into my car as they know I won't drink tonight. I set off to the venue and when we get there, it looked amazing. We get in and I finally see the whole thing in action. I stand in the door way and wait for the guests to arrive. I see Ben arrive and I give him a hug.

"HEYYYYYYY BENNNN" I say and he giggles.

"Maddie" He giggles. He walks in and a lot more guests arrive.

"CALUM HOOD. GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE" I shout as I see him get out followed by Anna. They walk over in matching outfits. Calum was a dog and Anna was a puppy, they looked adorable.

"Hey mads" Anna says giving me a giant hug.

"You both look incredible!" I say and Calum looks at me.

"Maddie, you look incredible yourself" Anna smiles and I smirk.

"HE'S COMING!" Jack tells me and we all run inside, getting into our hiding places. The door opens and I hear Liz. She steps inside the building, Luke slowly behind her.

"What is this place mum?"

"Well..." She turns on the light and we all jump up. We all yell and he looks so surprised. I run over and give him the biggest hug ever as he looked adorable when he was shocked.

"What is this?" He whispers.

"A party. Oh my god, you hate it"

"No I love this! Thank you so much mads. I meant to the costumes, I wish I had one" He sulks.

"Wait here" I say and quickly grab the bear costume I bought for him.

"You're too cute" He says kissing my head. He grabs the costume and changes before joining the rest of the party.

Luke and I dance all night, along with the other guests. Luke was surprised to see one direction performing which made it even more special. After a while they come off the stage and see us.

"Happy birthday Luke" Harry smiles giving him a hug.

"Thanks Harry" He smiles. I suddenly feel two arms around me and I turn to see Zayn.

"ZAYN!" I say and hug him back, I hadn't seen him in ages.

"I know! Happy birthday Luke" Zayn says going over to Luke. I say hi to the rest of the band before they go and party themselves.

"Mads, this party has been amazing"

"Thanks Luke, I'm glad you like it" I say back and he kisses my cheek.

"Home?"

"Home" I smile and we walk out to my car. I drive is home and we both collapse on his bed.

"Okay so I'm tired" He says and he crawls underneath me.

"Me too, I could sleep any second" I say and roll over so we side by side I the bed.

"We still have our costumes on" I rip the skeleton costume off revealing my body. Luke looks at me shocked and I realise what I had just done.

"You want my shirt? Or are you sleeping in just your underwear?" I open my eyes widely and he hands me the shirt, he knew I hated my boy and it made me smile that he cared.

"Thanks Luke, I love you" I say and he throws his costume.

"I love you too" I kiss his lips and he giggles.

"18. You're getting old my friend" I joke and he plays along.

"I'll have a walking stick before you know it" I smile as he puts his arm around me. I cuddle into his chest and we both fall asleep.
