Slowly

Luke's P.O.V-

I walk into school as I normally do and meet up with Lena, Anna and Calum. Michael was usually late so we waited for him. When he finally arrives, we go to registration and get our marks.

"So you beat him at Pokemon?" Calum asks and Michael nods. I was too worried about what Matt would do to me to even listen to their conservation.

"Luke?" I hear Lena say so I turn to face her.

"Yeah?"

"Why are you so worried?" She asks. Was it really that noticeable?

"Just Matt. He said he'd make me pay for defending Maddie. He said that 3 days ago"

"Don't worry about him, he just acts tough, he's not really. I dated him for 2 months remember?" She giggles and I smile, I really hoped he wasn't going to do anything.

We arrive at first lesson which was maths as usual. I sit in my seat, Maddie and Michael beside me.

"Hello" I say tapping Maddie's desk. I see a small smirk appear on her face.

"Hey" She whispers.

"I notice you have your glasses back" I whisper while poking her glasses and she nods. My mum comes in and sets the work.

As expected, Maddie and I finish first which meant us just talking. Well, whispering and writing notes. We quietly talk about everything and it's nice to have a conversation with her.

"Here" She opens her book and shows me a picture of a black and white fender guitar which I really liked.

"That's so cool!"

"Thank you, I knew you liked my art and this guitar. I mean, this isn't really art but I tried" She smirks. I felt all warm inside when I talk to Maddie.

Soon enough, I decide to take a risk and slide my hand under the table. I put my warm hand on top of Maddie's cold hand and she squeezes it back.

I turn to face her and she looked extremely happy. The thought of making Maddie happy because of something I did made me feel good. She began to blush which I found adorable.

As I finish helping Michael with his work, I feel something cold on my thigh. I look down and see Maddie's fingers creeping up and down my leg.

I do the same to her all I hear is a little gasp and then a loud sigh. The whole class look at her and I smirk at her as she bites her lip.

"I'm ticklish!" She whispers as everyone turns away.

"Good to know" I wink.

We finish the class and everyone gets up. Maddie taps my thigh and runs out the door. I smile and my mum pulls me back in her class again.

"Yes mum?"

"What were you two doing at the back? You seemed to be all giggly" She raises her eyebrows.

"Nothing bad, I'm just being nice"

"Okay, I'll leave you to go to next lesson but remember, we will talk more at home" She winks and I run to next lesson where I sit down as I was late.

I keep looking at Maddie from across the class and she smirks just like we always do. We mouth things to each other making us both laugh.

Later on, school finishes and we walk home together.

"So mads, would you be interested in going to the beach with me tonight? I thought it'd be fun"

"Yeah sure, thank you for today Luke. Oh! Don't tap my leg again in maths please, it's really distracting" She winks while walking off.

"I know, half of Australia heard that gasp!" I say and she turns around. I wink at her and she bites her lip as she walks down the street she lives on. I was so lucky to finally get to know her.
