I'm alone Luke... Alone

Luke's P.O.V-

I get out of bed as I was meeting Ashton today. I didn't want to because I knew I'd start crying but my mum said it would be good for me.

I quickly shower and as usual, my tears make an appearance. It was the only place where I could cry alone so I showered a lot. I get out and quickly get changed by towel drying my hair. I couldn't use the hair dryer anymore because it brought back so many memories I didn't want to remember her, it hurt too much.

"Luke honey, are you ready?" My mum asks gently as she opens the door.

"Yeah" I say sliding on a shirt. I look down and see my jumper. The jumper Maddie would always wear. I begin to cry and my mum runs over. She cuddles me and I instantly cry more.

"Mum, when am I going to stop? It's not good for me"

"Whenever your body is ready to let go"

"I'll never be ready mum, she was my true love" She nods and guides me downstairs trying not to cry herself. I see Ashton outside and make my way to his car.

"Have fun" My mum shouts to me.

"I'll try" I bite my lip and get into Ashton's car. I hadn't seen Ashton since the day Maddie left so it was sad.

"Hey Luke, how- that won't help, forget I said that"

"You're the first person to not ask me. Thanks" I smile and he nods. He was acting odd today, was he okay?

"It's okay"

"How are you?" I ask.

"Shit" He says and I look at him for a while trying to figure out if it was anger or sadness.

"What's up?"

"Emily. She, uh, I broke up with her"

"You did? Why?"

"Long story" He sighs.

"I may be upset Ashton but I can help you. We are still friends you know" I say and he nods.

"You're right. Just don't kill me when I tell you"

"I won't. Why would I kill you?"

"You'll see"

"Okay..." He parks the car and faces me. I was quite nervous.

"Calum caught Emily going through Anna's bag. We asked her why and she said she was a fan, ruining an update account and that's all she was dating me for. That's why she'd never kiss me or take photos" He sighs.

"Aw ash, I'm so sorry" I say hugging him.

"That's not the worst part Luke. She made the hashtags that made Maddie leave" I immediately feel anger, she was the reason why my girlfriend leave.

"No..."

"I am so sorry" My eyes glass over as he says it.

"I'm sorry too. You deserve someone nice and kind, someone who loves you truly"

"I'm just so-"

"Upset?"

"I'm alone Luke... Alone" He says and I see all the pain in his eyes.

"Ash, come here" I cuddle him as he cries on my shoulder.

"I am so sorry, I know how it feels"

"We'll stop crying eventually" I say and feel the tears flowing down my cheeks.

"It's all my fault. I fell for her"

"We all make mistakes. Mine was no stopping my girlfriend from running away"

"You still love her?"

"I always will. No matter if I never see her again which is likely" He sighs.

"I wish I could tell her the truth for you Luke" He looks down.

"It's not your fault ash, I don't blame you at all" I say and wipe my eyes. Emily was the bitch that Ashton sadly fell in love with.

"Thanks. I wish Maddie was still here, she'd kiss away your tears"

"I wouldn't be crying at all" I laugh.

"I'm so sorry"

"Stop saying that! I don't blame you at all"

"Good because I don't know what I'd do without you Luke"

"I'm always here for you Ashton, no matter what" I smile and wipe his tears away.

"What if it's 3 am?"

"I'll be up crying anyway" I say and he looks down.

"I'll help you with anything Luke, that's what friends are for"

"We can try and get through this"

"We can help each other" He smiles and I hug him. He really did care.
