Christmas time

Luke's P.O.V-

*3 weeks later*

I sit on my bed and think about today, it was the day the Christmas decorations were going up. This year, my two brothers were going fishing with my dad which I never went to because I hated fishing and my mum had some teaching so it was Maddie and I all day.

I see my phone light up and see it was Maddie saying she was awake. We usually did this so we knew when to go see each other. I get up and walk to Maddie's room, forgetting I had no shirt on.

"Nice sleep wear"

"Shut up, I got hot last night"

"You got hot when you turned 14" She smirked and gave me a hug. I take her hand and we walk downstairs where I find a note on the kitchen table.

Dear Luke,

I just left to teach and won't be home until at least 6. Your dad and brothers left now so can you put the tree up for when I'm home? Thanks Luke xx

I hated putting the tree up, I was never any good. It frustrated me because everyone made it look easy but for me it was so difficult. I show Maddie the note and she jumps with excitement.

"What up?"

"I love Christmas decorations!"

"Lucky! I don't" I sigh and sit down.

"Why not? You Grinch"

"That makes no sense"

"Fine. You're a Grinch"

"I just suck at putting them up"

"Well, I'll teach you" She says kissing my lips gently. We finish our breakfast and get all the decorations out of the attic. She squeals with joy which makes me smile.

"You have so many! I only had a small tree for my bedroom which wasn't even half the size of me" She smiles and sits on the attic floor.

"You shouldn't sit up here, my brothers would tell me... " I pause. I knew I could trick Maddie into believing it was haunted because she was so gullible.

"What? What did they say?" She actually looked scared.

"Thy said.... It was haunted" I say and she gasps.

"No way.... You actually thought I'd believe you?" She says and laughs, I glare back. God damn, I've always wanted to prank her.

"Come on, let's get started!" I say and I take all the decorations down. We put them in the living room and she begins to un-box everything as I grab the last couple. I get the final box when I hear Maddie scream quite loudly. I drop the box and run.

"MADDIE!" I say and enter the room to find her looking shocked at me. She points to the TV and I see my bands music video playing, she looks so perfect.

"YOU LOOK SO HOT" She says wrapping her arms around me as we dance, I did look pretty hot. The song ends and we finally get all the Christmas things in one place. I begin to build the tree as she makes drinks.

"Need help Luke?"

"I'm good. Plus, you're tiny so you couldn't help anyway"

"You have a ladder" She laughs.

"Are you laughing at yourself?" She giggles while nodding.

"You're too adorable mads" I say and kiss her cheek, making her smile.

After I set the tree up, she unwraps all the baubles. She takes so much care which made me so happy. I slowly walk behind her and grab her waist from behind. I hear her release a little sigh as she sees me.

"Hey mads, want to take a break?" I wink. I was starving and I hadn't had anything she could cook for ages.

"No! I need to get this done!" She says and I sigh.

"Pwetty pwease?"

"That's adorable but no. I take Christmas pretty serious"

"Fine, we finish this and then food?"

"Oh food. Nothing is better than food. Let's take a break" I laugh as she says it and walks into the kitchen.

"What shall we eat?" I say trying to hide the fact I knew what I wanted.

"Well I know you want me to cook?"

"You're the sweetest" I say and kiss her cheek as she begins to cook. After food, she starts to decorate the tree, asking for my helps for some ideas where to put things. Soon, the tree only has one decoration left. I take the angel out of the bag and Maddie smiles at me.

"You do this one"

"I can't reach" I laugh and she looks at me shocked.

"You're 6 foot though"

"6 foot 4 actually" I say mockingly while walking towards her.

"Oh well then" She attaches her lips to mine and smiles.

"Idea!" I say pulling off.

"What?"

"Get on my shoulders" She looks at me scared but soon lightens up and climbs on.

"Shit it's high" She says and places the angel on top. I take her down as I could see she was terrified.

"We should've just used the ladder" I joke and she looks into my eyes. I place my hands on her hips and she places hers on my shoulders. I bite my lip and she looks directly into my eyes. She forcefully puts hers lips against mine which makes me blush a bit. I pull her into me as I usually did when we kissed.

I hear the door open and see my parents and my brothers staring at us. I pull off and she turns to face my family.

"Having fun kids?" My mum jokes and all Maddie and I can do is laugh. I take her hand in mine as we sit down. My parents had stayed with us while my brothers went up to the attic as I had planned to scare Maddie.

"Hey mads, I left my phone up in the attic, I'll just go get it"

"I'll go, wait here" I knew she'd say that. She walked out and I burst into laughter.

"What are you planning Luke?" My mum laughs.

"I'm tricking Maddie into thinking we have a haunted attic" I say and slowly follow her. I watch as my brothers poke their heads out and she screams. I go behind her and hug her. I noticed she had started shaking making me feel extremely guilty.

"Maddie, I'm so sorry"

"You're a dick" She says and punches my arm. She can't help but smirk making me smile, she was too cute.
