Abandoned

Maddie's P.O.V-

"Maddie please get changed" I hear Luke shout down.

"Why?" I laugh.

"We have a date soon and you're not ready" He pouts walking down the stairs.

"You didn't tell me about this date Hemmings" I laugh poking his two cheek.

"Well get ready then" He says quickly pulling me into a kiss.

I go upstairs and get ready. I apply my makeup quickly which was strange for me, neatly straighten my hair and get into a nice outfit I had been dying to wear.

"Ready" I say and go downstairs to find Luke putting in gel to get his quiff. I really like his flat hair but that was only for he house so only Michael and I saw that.

"You don't need all that hair gel" I say standing behind him in the mirror.

"You don't need that makeup but you wear it" He smirks.

"Shut up" I joke and put my head on his shoulder.

"I love you mads"

"I love you Luke" I say and kiss his cheek before turning him around and doing his hair for him.

"Let's go" He smirks and I nod. He takes my hand and guides me to a small, abandoned shop and I look at him confused. There was an old wooden door that looked like it would creak open at the slightest touch.

"This is it?" I say trying to look pleased.

"Now, I know you're probably thinking 'Eww Luke hates me' but I have something amazing planned" He says and opens the door. There it was, the creak.

I walk inside and smell ancient wood. I kind of liked the smell as it brought back memories of sitting in the pier as a child when my parents scared me. It had a simple stool making me giggle.

"This place is really relaxing in a weird kind of way" I smile while sitting down on the stool. He smiles and sits on the ground.

"I thought you'd like it. I know you like horrors and creepy stuff so this was perfect"

"I do love horrors but if something jumps out I'm going to beat the shit out of you"

"I love it when you get violent" He giggles.

"Aww good because I'm not lying" I wink. He passes me a hot chocolate and I smile, he really had planned it all out.

"Maddie I love you so much"

"Yeah, I know. I love you a little bit more"

"That isn't true" He says coming closer. I smirk at him confused and he giggles.

"What are you doing?" I laugh as he was sitting under my feet.

"Maddie, I love you so much. When I first saw you I thought you were a little weird but I knew that you were different. The first time I heard you speak at the beach was the best memory I have. You actually said 'stay, you've already heard my sing' and at that moment, my heart began to beat in time to yours. No, that sounds shit, I fell for you basically. Maddie, these 8 years have been perfect and I want the rest of my life to be perfect too. Madeline Day, will you trade your shitty surname for mine and marry me?"

Tears built in my eyes as I part my mouth in shock. He pulls out the ring with a small and simple diamond and I practically fly off the stool.

"Of course I will! I love you so much Luke and I want to spend the rest of my life with you" I pull him into my grasp and hug him tightly.

"Good, I was terrified you'd say no" He laughs and my heart instantly beats a little faster. I was Luke's fiance, we were going to get married.

"Why would I say no? I am in love with you"

"I thought you'd say you were too young"

"Luke, we're 26" I laugh and wrap my arms around him again, I was the happiest person ever.

"I love you so much Maddie"

"I love you too Luke" I say and press my lips forcefully to his. He giggles a little and I jump so my legs are around his waist. I pull off, still with my legs wrapped around him and he smirks.

"You're so cute from this angle"

"I hate this angle" I laugh and jump down.

"Well you look good from any angle" He winks and I smile, tears in my eyes.

"Luke, I am so happy we are getting married" I say and release a few tears.

"Happy tears I'm hoping?"

"Of course they are" I laugh and give Luke a cuddle. I couldn't believe it, I was engaged.
