You saved me

Luke's P.O.V-

I wake up on Maddie's sofa, I stayed over so I didn't lose her again. Calum went back to tell the others that we found her and she wanted to come home with us. I sit up and check my phone. 10 am and no sign of Maddie. She was still the lazy girl I fell in love with.

"Morning Hemmings" She smiles and jumps on my lap.

"Good morning. Can I just say, your sofa is very comfortable" I smile and she smirks.

"Picked it myself" I laugh.

"Someone's cheery this morning. New trait?"

"I woke up and get to know that the person I've been longing for is in my living room, I'm happy. I haven't felt this for 3 years"

"Well that's cute" I smile.

"I'm sorry I left, I don't even know why I did, I guess I felt like I was in the way"

"You weren't" I say and she pokes my face.

"Well you've got me now" She laughs and gets up.

"Breakfast?" I say as she grabs some bread.

"Toast?"

"Anything is okay by me" I was just so happy to have her back in my life. She was back, my whole world was okay again and I was never going to let her leave again. She finishes making breakfast and she sits down on her counter top. I join her and she smiles.

"So tell me about Zayn" I say and she nods.

"What do you want to to know?"

"Why didn't you marry him?"

"He had been texting a girl a lot and he didn't really interact with me anymore so here I am" I smile keeping my tears locked up. I couldn't believe she went through this.

"He didn't care about you?"

"Some nights he wouldn't come home, he wouldn't even text me to tell me he was fine. I knew he went out for sex, I just wasn't in the mood most days so he had to get it somewhere" I sigh and so does she.

"I'm sorry"

"It's not your fault. Anyway, what are we doing today?" She smiles.

"Well, I was thinking of meeting up with Calum, Michael and Ashton. Their girlfriends as well"

"Okay, let me get ready" She giggles and gets up.

"Maddie wait!" I say and grab her hand.

"Yeah?" She looked scared.

"Your ring" I say playing with my purity ring.

"Yeah?"

"You still have it?"

"I was dating zayn, what do you expect?" She laughs and I felt my heart hurt a little.

"That's fair, still got mine"I smile and she looks at me shocked.

"Really?"

"I waited for you because you're the only girl I want" She laughs and goes to get ready. I couldn't believe this. I was actually with Maddie again and she was just as beautiful as ever. She comes back looking amazing in a white dress. I quickly pick her up by her waist and hug her.

"You saved me Luke, thank you" She nuzzles her head into my neck and I smile. I missed this. We leave her house and get into her new car. It smelt great.

"Your car smells so fucking good" I say and she giggles.

"Thanks. It's called strawberry burst. I like this one also" She begins to drive as I guide her. We park the car and get out. We go to our room and she just stands beside me for a while.

"Sorry, I'm nervous. I bet they all hate me'

"Only Lena but hey, she hates everyone"

"Just Lena? I'm pretty sure they all hate me Luke"

"Listen, Calum is happy that I'm happy, Anna misses your so much, Michael loves you, Ashton wants me to happy and Hannah has never met you. You're going to be fine" I smile, opening the door. I walk in and see them all waiting to catch a glimpse of Maddie. It was cute to see them all happy.

"Maddie... You're actually here" Michael says running over to Maddie.

"Here I am, once again"

"I missed you, we all missed you" He says hugging her.

"I missed you all as well! Can I explain?"

"Explain?"

"Why I really left?"

"Of course mads" Michael smiles while sitting down.

"Well, the first reason was because of the rumours about Michael and I dating, it showed I couldn't be friends with him without someone getting hurt. Another was the Maduke breaking up thing and all the threats I got from it. And lastly, I left because I knew I would disappoint you all in the future and you'd be stuck with a failure that you all were only friends with because you'd feel bad saying bye. They're stupid excuses but I just couldn't take it anymore. I'm sorry" She says and I wipe her tears away, I couldn't believe she felt this way. Anna comes over and gives her a big hug. It felt nice to have her back.

"It's okay Maddie, we understand. You're not a failure and you never will be Maddie. You're amazing and we all love you. Welcome back" She giggles and so does Maddie.

"GROUP HUG TO PROVE WE STILL LOVE YOU" Calum says and they come and hug, even Hannah. Well, Lena didn't hug Maddie, she just texted as usual.

"I missed you all so much" She says smiling at us.

"We missed you too, for 3 years to be exact" I joke while looking to the floor. I feel two small arms around me and I smile.

"So are you two together?" Ashton smirks.

"We're going to take it slow" I say and she nods. I wanted more I just needed to be casual first.

"Well that's fair considering she was going to be Mrs Malik yesterday"

"Stop saying that" I bitterly whisper. I think Maddie heard it as she bites her lips and avoids eye contact. I couldn't believe they welcomed her so well, she was so happy. I was just so happy I had her again, nothing could take her away from me.
