The wedding

Maddie's P.O.V-

*1 week*

I stand alone in my room and look at myself in the mirror. I was going to be married today, to someone who didn't care about me at all. I walk over to my dress and stare at it. I had to try and get that on alone.

"How did I get here?" I whisper to myself. I go over to my desk and begin my makeup and hair as I didn't have anyone to help me. A while later, I decide it looks nice and get into my big dress. It takes a while because I had to do it myself, none of his family liked me and none of my family was going to be there. I put the final touches on my outfit and check myself in the mirror one last time. I looked pretty.

"Maddie are you ready yet" Zayn's sister signs.

"Yep, I'm coming"

"Good, I hate leaving my brother waiting" I sigh as I open the phone bill one last time. All his texts were to a girl called Perrie and it worried me, did he even want me? I open the door and his sisters stand in the doorway. She looks me up and down with disgust.

"You look okay. I hate the colour"

"It's white. Most wedding dresses are white"

"You look bad in white" She sighs and takes me down stairs.

"I need to pee, one second" She grunts and I go to the toilets. I stand in the mirror and close my eyes to stop the tears ruining my makeup. I was being stupid, it was 3 years since Luke and I were a couple. I was getting married in less than an hour! I needed to let Luke go.

I leave the toilet and meet up with his sister again. She walks me towards the entrance of the church where Harry stands outside. I walk over to him fast and wrap my arms around him.

"You look great"

"At least someone thinks I do. Zayn's sister hates it" I sigh.

"She just hates you, nothing personal"

"Haha, funny" I say and link his arm.

"This is the part where I tell you if you don want to do this-" He gets cut off as the door opens.

"It's too late now" I say and we waltz in. Everyone stood up and stared at me which was horrible as I hated this kind of attention. I get to the front and all I see is Zayn. I walk over to him and he takes my hand.

"You look great" He smiles.

"You too" I smirk looking to the ground. He kisses my cheek and I begin to blush.

"Welcome the family of Zayn and Maddie-"

"STOP!" I look towards the door and see Calum Hood wearing a black suit. He smiles to me and I roll my eyes.

"What is this?" Zayn's mother asks while standing up.

Then my whole world went silent as I saw him, standing in the doorway. His blonde hair in its usual quiff, shining in the sunlight. His crystal blue eyes looking anywhere but mine. His tongue licking his lip, his lip ring still in. He hadn't grown an inch in 3 years and he looked the same as I last saw him. There he was. Luke Robert Hemmings.

"I won't let Maddie marry Zayn because she's not happy" I turn to Zayn who was smiling.

"Is this true?" He whispers. Luckily, everyone was staring at Calum and Luke so no one saw us chatting.

"Zayn I'm sorry. I know about Perrie and-"

"It's okay Maddie. You don't have to marry me"

"I know you would prefer to be with Perrie and you just don't make any effort with me. Go to her" I say pointing to Perrie who was standing at the back. How strange.

"But what about you?"

"I got these dorks to look after me if they want to. I'll be okay" I smile. I give him one final hug before he runs over to Perrie and wraps his arms around her. I was happy he was finally happy. His whole family smile and join him, nice to know they liked me.

I continue to stare at Calum as he begins to giggle. Not moving from where I stand, I look at Luke. His eyes slowly make their way to mine. He catches his first glimpse and smirks at me.

"21 and you're still hotter than the sun" He laughs.

"21 and you still know I exist"

"How could I forget you Mads, you're my everything"

"I missed you so god damn much" I say and he nods.

"There wasn't a day I didn't miss you"

"I am so sorry I left, I bet you hate me"

"I could never hate you Maddie, you mean the world to me"

"I'm never leaving you again"

"You're not leaving my sight again, I know that" He laughs and I run over to him just like in most films. As I run, my heels catches on the dress and I fall flat on my face. All I hear are laughs from Calum and Luke.

"Shut up, I tried to be cute" I say and he helps me up. Calum was just standing in front of me smirking.

"I love you Maddie" Luke smiles and so do I.

"I love you too" He goes to kiss me but I back away a bit.

"I'm sorry I just think we should just take things slow"

"Of course, I understand. Let's start as friends" I smile and take his hand in mine. My whole body felt numb at his touch, I felt like myself once again.

"Shall we go home?" I say and they nod.

"Your home or our hotel?"

"My house, I want you guys to see it" I giggle. I go to the car and get in the drivers seat as cake get in the back. I drive to my house and park my car. They smile and we all pile into my house.

"Get comfy, I'm going to change" I smile and go to my room. I peel off the dress so I was in my underwear. I couldn't stop smiling, Luke was back in my life.

"Shit sorry, I thought this was the toilet" He says turning away.

"Luke you've seen me like this before its fine"

"True" He turns back around and I see he is wearing his suit, he looked good.

"I haven't really changed" I laugh. I grab a over sized shirt and put it over my head. I smile and sit on my bed.

'I missed that shirt" He laughs.

"Sorry, I just wanted something to remember you" I say clenching my teeth.

"It's fine, pengy wears your shirt. I pretend it's you" I see him giggle slightly as he looks to the ground.

"I'm so sorry I left you, I'm an idiot letting you go"

"But you're back and I don't care how scared you get, you're fucking staying"

"I promise you, forever" I kiss his cheek.

"Good, I'm not loosing you ever again" He smiles and takes my hands. Things were going to work out for us. Finally.
