The big day

Luke's P.O.V-

*3 months later*

I slide into my skinny jeans as the butterflies erupt in my stomach. I see Calum fixing his bow tie and Ashton doing his hair.

"Luke, you okay?" Michael asks, gently putting his hand on my shoulder for support.

"I'm just nervous. I can't wait to be married, I'm just terrified I'll do something wrong'"

"You'll do great because you have 3 best men by your side and Maddie will look beautiful as usual" Ashton giggles while buttoning up my shirt.

"You look good today Luke" Calum smirks.

"It is my wedding day" I laugh. I was just wearing black skinny jeans with a plain black button up shirt. I knew Maddie wouldn't mind me not having the whole suit and this is what I was comfortable in.

"It's time honey" My mum says tearing up.

"Mum stop, you'll make me cry" I say running over and giving her a hug.

"Can I get a picture before the wedding? I'll be all emotional after and my makeup will be ruined" She laughs.

"Okay" I say and she takes me outside where Michael takes a couple of pictures of us together.

We go back into the venue and I see the doors to the reception. My whole body shakes with excitement and nerve, I was actually doing this.

I open the door and see everyone related to me. Jack and Ben immediately smirk while looking at my outfit and I laugh.

I get to the front when I see one man that I don't recognise. I think nothing of it as he must just be a relative I can't remember and Maddie was about to walk in which was all that mattered to me.

"All rise for the bride" Someone says as the door opens and Anna walks through. I could see Calum tearing up at how beautiful she looked. Then comes Hannah who looked just as beautiful making Ashton straighten up in happiness.

That's when Maddie comes through, Michael bringing her down as she felt closet to him. My heart skips a beat as I see her. The dress was quite big but it fit her perfectly and it made her look magical. She didn't have a veil because she hated stuff like that so all I could see was her smile plastered across her face. She looked amazing.

"Hey Luke" She whispers as reaches the end of the aisle.

"You look incredible"

"You look amazing" She smiles as the ceremony begins.

After we exchange our vows and the rings, there was one thing left. I could see the tears building up in Maddie's eyes along with mine.

"Do you, Madeline Day take Luke Hemmings to be your husband?"

"I do" She says as a few tears fall out.

"Do you Luke Hemmings take Madeline Day to be your wife?"

"I do" I smile and she squeezes my hand.

"I now pronounce you Mr and Mrs Hemmings, you may now kiss the bride" I giggle and pull Maddie into my by the waist. She giggles and press her lips to mine placing her hand on my cheeks.

We pull off and the whole reception clap. We walk out and get our pictures taken.

"Oh my god, no way" She says and tears up.

"What's up?" I look in her direction and see the old man coming over.

"Do you know him?"

"That's my grandfather" She says and wraps her arms around his fragile body, I was so happy for her.

"Hey Maddie, I've missed you so much"

"What are you doing here?" She giggles as she wipes her tears away.

"I heard about the wedding and I thought I had to come meet the man she was about to marry, see if he was good enough" He giggles.

"Here I am" I say and he shakes my hand.

"Lovely to meet you, you must be Luke"

"That's me"

"When she stayed with me, you were all she would talk about. How sad she was she left you, how hot you were-"

"Stop, he's my husband now" She says and we all laugh.

"I'm sorry I'm just glad that you're marrying the right person, I know he will never hurt you. You have someone to protect you"

"Till death" I say and wrap my arm around her waist.

"I'm so glad to finally meet you Luke and to see you again Maddie but my flight is in just over 2 hours so I need to get to my plane"

"I understand, thank you for coming"

"I love you Madeline" He says jogging into the distance.

"He is a really nice gentleman"

"Yeah he is, I'm so glad he was here"

"Me too, now let's get this party started" I say while doing a little dance and making Maddie laugh so much tears had come out.

"That was the worst dance move ever" she laughs while walking back into the venue.

We had just a party at the end of the night because I knew she loved music just as much as me and we shared the same taste. It was mostly blink 182 and all time low because we loved those bands.

I see Zayn and Perrie make their way through the crowd and smile at me.

"Zayn? Hey" I say and he pulls me into a hug.

"Hey Luke, today has been amazing. I'm so happy you two are married"

"Thank you. Shouldn't I be congratulating you two on being engaged?" I say wiggling my eyebrows.

"Thanks Luke" She smiles and hugs Zayn. They looked genuinely happy together and that made me happy.

"Weird to think Maddie and I had a wedding planned" He says just as Maddie comes over.

"Oh hey Zayn, hi Perrie" She gives them both a hug before taking my hand in hers.

"Hi Maddie, lovely dress" Perrie says as they begin talking about girly wedding stuff.

"So she's happy with you right? I know she wasn't happy with me and I don't want her to feel like that again, I care too much"

"No I think she's happy, she looks happy and she tells me she loves me everyday so I hope so"

"I know you do, I don't know why I asked. Anyway, enjoy your married life together" He smirks as him and Perrie walk off.

"I'm so glad he has someone" She smiles.

"Me too, he deserves to be happy" I grab Maddie's hand and make my way to the dance floor.

For the rest of the night, Maddie, calum, Anna, Hannah, Ashton, Michael and I all just dance and it felt great. I hadn't been this happy in a long time and I know I was because I got to spend the rest of my life with Maddie.
