I'll help you

Luke's P.O.V-

I change into my school uniform and put my books in my bag.

"MUM! I'M READY" I shout and run down stairs.

"Me too, let's go" She takes us in her car and we listen to Green day.

"Don't buy shoes today" I say as she walks off. She slowly puts her middle finger up at me and I laugh.

I find Calum talking to some of his friends who were staring at Annabelle, one of the popular girls.

"What are you two going?"

"Day dreaming about Annabelle" Calum says practically drooling.

"Yes well, she's staring right at you" I say and he snaps back into reality. He waves making all of her friends all laugh at him. She smiles back sweetly but Calum had already turned away.

"Let's go" Calum says awkwardly and guides us away. We find Michael soon and stand by him. I tell him the story about Calum and how embarrassing it was for him.

"He just stood there? Staring?" Michael laughs as Calum glares at us both.

"Yeah! Don't forget, she was looking as well" We burst out into fits of laughter, Calum even joining in.

We go to first lesson and we were now really hyper. Luckily it was drama, so we did loads of practical work.

Soon enough, it was lunch time and we all sit on our bench. We called it our bench because no one else sat on it and we wrote all over it. I spot Maddie walking alone and sit on a bench alone.

"I'm going to talk to her" Before Calum can say anything, I walk to her table.

I slide onto the table and smile at her. She gave me a smirk back and I see her braces had gone.

"Hey Maddie, I see you had your braces removed" She smiles again and finishes her food.

"Hey Luke" I hear Matt shouting behind us making Maddie's smile turn to a frown. She gets up and Matt follows after her so I follow behind.

I can't get through to the front of the crowd but I see Maddie was on the middle, I needed to help her.

I push through as soon as Maddie gets slapped and falls to the ground.

"You dickhead, she's a girl"

"Is she even a girl?" They laugh and all walk off. I run over to Maddie, Calum and Michael behind me.

"We'll help you" Calum says picking her up. She smiles as we help her. Michael and I hand her the book she had dropped.

"I'm sorry Maddie" I say and she shrugs. She bites her lip and walks off.

"She didn't talk to you, did she?" Calum says sighing and tapping my shoulder.

"She defiantly did speak to me"

"Of course" He says patting my back and we walk to our next lesson. Why wasn't she speaking to me?
