IT'S NOT US NO MORE, IT'S JUST YOU AND ME

There's this one guy named Lex, who's really consistent with me.

If there's someone who will show me motive or wanna court me, I will decline them right away.

"What's your reason? We can work this out! I promise you, I'll be a better man for you."

I smiled to another man who told me that, nakakasawa... paulit-ulit lang nila 'yon tinatanong at sinasabi sa akin.

They all ask me what's my reason, why I always decline them... but I won't answer them and I just smoothly ignore them all.

But Lex? He never ask me, he just show me how much he likes me and proving it to me with his actions.

As days goes by, nahihirapan na akong paulit-ulit siyang saktan sa bawat sinasabi ko, but he's still here... smiling like I didn't hurt him again and again.

"Lex—" Magsisimula pa lang akong mag salita pero pinutol niya agad ako.

"I know, nakakairita na ako, you don't want me in front of you." He's smiling, and why my conscience is hunting me?

"Just do what you want, ignore me all you want... just don't stop me from giving you this..." And he gave me a box, then he ran away from me like he is shy giving it to me.

Taka akong napatingin sa box na binigay niya.

I opened it and I smelled the sweet aroma that made my eyes closed.

I smell it once again. Nakakagutom ng amoy.

Kinuha ko yung note na nakalagay sa gilid at binasa 'yon.

"They said the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. But let me rephrase it by giving you this cookies that I made solely for you. Good morning, always smile, okay... it makes you more beautiful. I'll see you after your class."

I bit my lower lip to hide my smile.

"Why would I smile?" I asked myself while shaking my head.

"Lex!" I shouted for him to hear me, medyo nakalayo-layo na siya sa pagtakbo.

But he stopped and looked back at me.

Even if he's far from me, I can see here his wide smile.

"Yes?" He shouted back.

Napailing ako. "I'm on diet! I don't need this!"

Napatingin na sa amin ang ibang mga schoolmates ko, but I don't care tho.

"It's okay! It's still for you. Have a nice day, Licia!"

Napabuntong hininga ako habang kinakain yung cookies na binigay niya sa akin.

"Why? You don't like it?" He asked. He is beside me in a bench.

"I do, siguro ginayuma mo ako nang unang bigay mo sa akin na cookies 'no?" He suddenly laughed.

"You remember it? Ikaw ha, siguro may gusto ka na talaga sa akin noon pa." Inirapan ko siya.

"Kapal mo, patatabain mo ata ako e!" I pouted my lips.

"Awe, kahit ano pa yung body size mo, ikaw lang yung pinaka magandang babae sa paningin ko." Napasinghap ako.

"Aba, napaka bolero mo! Alam mo?"

He have this grin on his lips.

"I know, I am handsome."

"Ang pangit mo!" Pero imbis na mag reklamo tumawa lang siya.

"Dito ka nga! Yakapin kita." Then I just felt his hands snaking my waist carefully.
