HE BEG TO SAVE HIS DAUGHTER TO THE PERSON HE REFUSE TO LIVE

I came to the hospital to visit my daughter. She's now one of the best doctors.

"Ma, but she's my patient and I am a doctor, it's my responsibility to take care of her." I saw the determination in her eyes.

"No, you wouldn't take that operation, anak. Maraming doctor dito," mariin kong sabi.

"I am not being a hyprocite ma, but you know that i'm one of the best doctor here. And the patient is in the critical condition—"

"Iyon na nga eh! Critical! Baka mapunta sa iyo yung blame if the operation will not be sucessful."

"So you are not believing on me, ma? Mama this is not you." I heard how her voice cracked.

I still remain the emotion on my face. "Ayoko lang na mapahamak ka."

After that I walked out.

But one hour had passed, I came back to my daughter to say sorry on my action earlier. Alam kong nasaktan siya sa mga sinabi ko.

But I stopped when I saw a man on bended knee, begging and pleading in front of a girl who's wearing a white lab gown— my daughter.

"Please doc, nagmamakaawa ako, iligtas mo yung anak ko. Ikaw na lang yung pag-asa ko, you are the best doctor so why you wouldn't take the operation? I am begging you doc, i'll pay everything, just save my daughter." The man is already crying. Narinig ko pa ang paghirap niya sa pagsasalita dahil sa paghagulgol.

Nakita ko rin ang awa sa mga mata ng anak ko. She pity the man but I know she's obedient to me na kahit nasaktan ko siya ay susundin niya pa rin ako.

Lumapit ako sa kanila.

"I am so sorry sir, but my daughter will not take the operation of your daughter. May ibang doctor pa, doon ka lumapit sa kanila," pag singit ko sa usapan.

Nang marinig akong magsalita ay nag angat ng tingin ang lalaki.

Nanlaki pareho ang mga mata namin. "Carry?"

"Morris."

"Mama magkakilala kayo?" I looked at my daughter and gave her a small smile.

"Take the operation. S-save your sister," I almost whispered.

"W-What?" Halata ang pagkalito sa kanya, alam kong marami pa siyang gustong itanong pero mas nanaig sa kanya ang pagiging doctor sa mga oras na ito, because the patient now is really on the critical condition.

Agad siyang kumilos. "Hear that? Let's go, we must save our patient— we're going to save my sister."

Natatarantang sumunod ang mga kasamahan ng anak ko sa operation at agad sila pumasok sa emrgency room kung nasaan ang pasyente niya.

"S-She's—" I cutted him off.

"Yes. Our daughter." Nag-unahan na agad sa pagtulo ang nga luha ko. I remembered what happened to us thirty years ago.

"Be proud of your daughter, she became a doctor who save lives, not unlike his own father who tried to kill her." He stopped a bit.

I continue talking when he didn't speak. "Destiny really played on us well. The person who you want to be killed before is the person you are begging now to save your other daughter. And how does it feel? Ngayon alam mo na ang naramdaman ko noon, I begged you to save your own child to me, but you want to abort our baby because you don't want to be caught by your true family that you cheated on me."

Nakita ko ang pagluha niyang muli. "I am sorr—" I cutted him again.

"No, I don't want to hear that word from you. Because on the first place, you really want it, ginawa mo nga akong kabit mo ng hindi ko alam, and when you got me pregnant you didn't take your responsibility. Kaya't para saan yung sorry? Nagawa mo na, at wala ng magagawa ang sorry mo ngayon."

Natahimik kaming dalawa sa labas ng emergency room habang nakaupo sa magkahiwalay na bench.

Ilang oras pa ang nakalipas ay lumabas na ang anak ko.

While removing her surgical mask, she utter, "It's successful."

I saw on my peripheral view kung paano siyang nanghina.

"Thank you! T-thank you, doc..." Nakita ko rin kung paano siya mahiya sa taong ginusto niya dating mapatay.

The doctor who save his daughter to his family is my daughter— the child he want to abort before.

Agad kong hinila ang braso ng anak ko papunta sa akin nang makita kong may balak siyang yakapin ito. "Don't you ever touch her, because isn't it disgusting right? Na mahawakan yung ginusto mong mawala noon. Kahit kaunting hiya na lang siguro 'no?"

He looked at me with sadness in his eyes, then gazed to her own daugher. "I am really sorry sa lahat ng nagawa ko sayo. I know walang kapatawaran 'yon. And I am super thankful because you save my daughter. Keep on saving lives."

"I will, sir. You are welcome, it's my duty and responsibility as a doctor," my daughter politely answered.

Nagsalita ako sa huling pagkakataon bago namin siya iwanan. "Keep this on your mind, to all the things you did to us especially to our daughter— she will never be like you, na may gugustuhing mamatay para sa kapakanan ng iba. Maybe this is your karma and our unintentionally revenge to you."
