They accused my girlfriend as a gold digger.

Me— her boyfriend accused her and belived the judgement of the society about her.

"Let's go to a five star hotel?" I asked Andra, my Girlfriend.

"Babe, just buy me jewelries than going to a fancy restaurant. At least I can keep jewelries on me right?" And because I love her, I grant her wish.

I spoiled her too much.

And yes, she's just a simple girl, her family doesn't own any properties, and they don't have even a small business.

And the reason why I love her because she is matured enough to help her family, to support them because the only person who gave them their needs is her father which is a construction worker.

"Then I can give you jewelries and we can still go to a fancy restaurant."

She smiled sweetly. "Haze, just give me a money and my jewelries okay? We don't need to waste too much money just for food."

"Okay babe."

"Well I know a restaurant that we don't need to waste a money."

Sometimes I got confused by Andra's action. I don't get her, she don't want to waste money but she wants me to give her expensive jewelries, or things that she can keep and she wants me to give money to her.

But yeah, it's Andra. I can give her all she wants.

"Delicious?" She stared at me while smiling. We are now here in the place she called 'karendirya'

I nodded by her question.

"See? It's delicious here and you don't need to waste much money. Haze? Learn to keep money to yourself because we don't know what will happen in the future. Nowadays, money is important. Remember that."

"Yes, ma'am!" And we smiled to each other.

That always happened to us. And I still spoiled her with the things she wants.

But I didn't know that this will happened to me.

I lose all my properties. I lose my money.

And everyone judge me.

"You can leave me now! I can't give all your whims now!" I shouted her. I am stress in everything on what happened to my family and our business to the point that my relationship to Andra ruined.

"Do you think I love you because of that?! Then fine! Let's break up!" I saw her tears.

"They are true! You are a gold digger." I smirked on her.

She looked at me in disbelief.

"I thought you already know me. Yeah, I am a gold digger. You are right. I don't think what people would say to me, but you? What you've just told me is painful."

After that, I don't know where to go already. People judge me because of my downfall, because of our properties and businesses' downfall.

I don't have anything on me, my family and the girl I love abandoned me.

But I got shocked when an issue invaded the news.

Andra is the reason why of our downfall. And I am furious because I am right.

Everyone named her a gold digger, and she is proud of it?!

I confronted Andra.

"H-Haze?" I clench my jaw when I heard my name in her mouth.

"So you are a gold digger, huh?"

"That? Oh, yes. I took everything on you, right?"

I can't believe her! Why would she do that?

I turned my back on her. Nothing will change. But I mad at her, really really mad. I will never forgive her.

"Haze, c-can I hug you for the last time?" I stopped but I didn't look back at her.

I felt her embrace, a warm back hugged from her like everything will be fine.

I felt like there's someone is pinching my heart.

"I don't want you to know this, but I just can't. All you wasted on me— I keep them right? Like what I've always told you. The things you gave me, and all the money, they are all on your bank account. I love you Haze."

I'm going to face her but she didn't allow me. "Shh... Just think that I am a gold digger. Let them think that I am gold digger. Let them divert the issue on me. It hurts seeing them ruining you— so I'd rather ruin myself."

"I'm sorry. I should be the one who will protect you. I forgot the reason why I love you, Andra."

"Nope. This is what I want. I wanted to protect you."

I am the most stupid man for hurting her. Yeah, I love her but it's not enough for me to trust her.

And the one thing I realized that relationship is not just about loving each other— but trusting and being there for your partner through ups and down.
