I knocked on the door to the Jingshi and Wangji answered, "Xiongzhang," he greeted.

"Wangji, I brought Wen Qing to visit A'Xian. She want to examine him if it is alright," I said.

He nodded and stepped aside. Wei Wuxian was laid sprawled out in his bed. I could tell he was bored. I saw that he had finished the books I brought for him so I'd have to bring more.

"A'Xian?" I asked.

He turned his head to look at me then sat up when he saw Wen Qing, "Xichen-Ge, hello Wen Qing," he greeted.

"I see you have been through a few fights," Wen Qing chimed in.

"Just a little bit," Wuxian said.

"I came here because I wanted to examine you," she said, "as I removed your core, I might be able to help you heal properly if I know exactly how you are."

He nodded, "Is Lan Zhan okay with this?" He asked.

"Why wouldn't he be?" I asked and looked at Wangji. He looked a little tense.

"Just checking," Wuxian said.

Wen Qing then started to check him over, "your theory of his core is possible. His dantian is actually recovering, but it is slow. His bones I feel will take the longest to heal. If he can rest enough to get his dantian to recover, I can help him unblock the spiritual vein so he can try to cultivate a new golden core. When I was checking though Wanyin, he wouldn't have been able to because his core got crushed which destroyed the vein. But after giving him Wuxian's core, his body accepted it. As for Wuxian, I just removed his core and not destroyed it. Which means his vein is still healthy and able to continue to cultivate."

"How long could you say he'd need to rest for his dantian to fully recover?" I asked.

"With the methods he is using, taking proper medicine to help him heal and then time in the cold spring, it should take at least a month, maybe two if he doesn't rest properly," she answered.

"A month!?" Wuxian asked and groaned falling back on the bed, "I'm doomed."

"I was wondering if I can look into the medicine he is taking?" She asked. Wangji took out the herbs and tonics he was told to use. Wen Qing looked through it thoroughly, "I think I can adjust his medicine a little bit. It will be more bitter but the effects of it can help he heal a bit faster. If he really does and the healers and I, say, he should heal maybe even sooner than a month."

"Sure," I said.

"I hate bitter medicine," Wuxian complained.

"To bad, you somehow got yourself into this mess. You said you would do as they ask of you. I believe if you are to behave, it will go rather smoothly for you," Wen Qing said.

"Oh, I almost forgot," Wuxian said sitting up, "do you still have that comb my brother gave you?"

Wen Qing held out two fingers and they had a couple needles in them, "do you want to be immobilized or put to sleep? I have the power," Wen Qing threatened.

Wuxian chuckled, "I was just asking."

She sighed and stood up, "as long as he doesn't cause too much of a fuss, and if Wangji is okay with it, A'Yuan can come keep him company of he wants."

"Who?" Wuxian asked.

"He is a little three year old boy who lost his parents after my village was ambushed. He is my nephew, from my fathers side. He is a sweet kid and he is pretty good around people who are a bit more fragile. He as been cooped up in the infirmary so I was wondering if A'Yuan can come over here and hang out with you both as my family recovers," Wen Qing said.

"I don't mind, Lan Zhan?" Wuxian asked.

"As long as he doesn't aggravate your wounds," Wangji said.

"He won't," Wen Qing said.

"I met him, he is a sweet boy. He asked me if I was a god," I told them.

"Really?" Wuxian asked.

"He said I looked to pretty not to be one," I said.

"Now I really want to meet him," Wuxian said, "I love kids."

I can see a light flicker in my brother's eyes. It was like that little statement caught his attention. I'm sure Wangji could use some time to learn to be around kids.
