~*Wei Wuxian's POV*~
Lan Zhan walked me to the cold spring today. He sat on a boulder popping out of the water and sat on it. He then took out his guqin to play as I meditated. I just took off my outer robes and went in the water. As I meditated in the spring, it was like the energy from the spring have me so much more patience. I could feel my spiritual energy slowly growing. I didn't know that his spring could have such a good effect on my core like that.
When my hour was over, I put on my robes and then walked back with Lan Zhan. I changed into dry robes when I got back to the Hanshi. Xichen-Ge was meeting with Lan Qiren. He told me he wanted to give him an update on how I am doing. I also think he wanted to talk to him about the Yin Hu Fu and the resentful energy. To be honest, Lan Qiren might have some ideas on destroying that amulet.
Lan Zhan had left shortly after taking me back. He has been trying to do better with communicating so he decided to teach some disciples and he had his first class lessons today. So I was on my own in the Hanshi for the time being. In my room that I was staying in, I placed protection talismans all over the place, as I wanted to try and create some new ones. I wanted to make sure that if I made a mistake and one caused an explosion, it won't take destroy the Hanshi in the process.
I also placed a talisman on the wall to keep anything from making a mess. Like, say I make something and it causes a mess like ink all over the place. The talisman will shield the Hanshi from that kind of mess as well. When the talisman is removed, the Hanshi will look as good as new, or basically at its original state.
I wanted to see if I could create something to help get rid of this amulet. Knowing that properties of the amulet and the prior, Yin Iron properties, I had an idea that could work. I also had to consider the resentful energy it holds. If we destroy it in the burial mounds, we don't have to worry about the resentment making a mess. If we did it anywhere else, it might turn into another burial mounds.
The idea I had was to make a talisman to soak up the resentful energy. Once the energy is cleansed, the talisman will burn and the resentful energy will not cause a problem. The thing is, how will my body react after destroying the amulet. It has a small bit of connection to me, if I can find a way to remove that connection between me and the amulet, I could be saved from the backlash.
My body would have to cultivate a strong core to keep the backlash from killing me. I would need to be at my original golden core strength, and it was pretty advanced. I guess I could be equal or similar to Lan Zhan in cultivation back with my old core. For my sword, I have learned that there is a link between me and Suibian. I hand to break the link from my old core because Suibian would not unsheathe to anyone but me. With Jiang Cheng having my old core, I couldn't risk him unsheathing it and learning the truth. When my new core developed, I relinked myself to the sword with my new core. So guess Jiang Cheng has a core. It used to be mine but now it is officially his. I am still not telling him the truth about it though.
But since I found a way to unlink from my sword and then reconnect to it, there has to be a way to do that with the amulet. It's a bit different because it has resentful energy involved. I took out the talisman I made to remove the link and to reconnect to Suibian. I had to make some adjustments so it can unlink from the amulet as it has resentful energy.
I sat down at the empty desk and pulled out blank talisman from my Qiankun Pouch. I ground some ink and had some parchment with me as well. I first had to write the original strokes for the unlinking talisman. I had to know how I can alter it to unlink resentful energy from a body.

"Shufu, I wanted to update you on Wei Wuxian's progress," I said to him.
"I am listening," he replied.
"He is healing quite well. With the incident at the night hunt, it didn't set him too far back. Only catching a fever but that has been taken care of and now he is back to healing," I explained.
"That's good to know," Shufu said, "we haven't gotten any information yet on the man in the ghost mask. I asked disciples who are out on patrol to be careful. Who ever it is, he is altering the Qi, of the cultivators."
"I agree with you, Sect Leader Nie has been looking into it as well, he was in the vicinity when the man came out," I explained, "the man told us he was after Wei Wuxian's amulet. I have brought some things that he had back with his stuff at the Hanshi. He said he found them in the mounds. I looked through them and thought you'd like to have a look as well. I also trust you'd have a good place to hide them. It's information on the Yin Iron and resentful energy."
"He had this and he just now told us?" Shufu asked.
"He is opening up little by little. He told us, which is a start," I said, "that's why I am giving them to you now."
"I will look through them and keep them in a safe place," he said.
"Before we go about our day, I want to let you know, Wei Wuxian has formed a new Golden Core," I told him.
"He did?" Shufu asked.
I explained to him the theory that Wen Qing and I had found and after healing Wei Wuxian's dantian thoroughly and carefully, he started to cultivate again.
"Wangji and I are teaching him how to properly meditate. He told us he had never meditated before coming here," I said.
"How did he get such a strong core back then?" He asked.
"He said he spent a lot of time playing with his sworn siblings. Swimming, hunting pheasants, practicing archery, and so on. Being with the Jiangs, he had a different way to gain his strength and it only increased when he started to use a sword. With our methods, he can get to that point, we just don't know how long it will take. We told him we are not rushing things, it will not be good if we did," I explained.
He nodded as he stroked his beard, "he is a rare talent indeed...can't handle a simple lecture though," he said.
"I've noticed if you give him books on his interests he is very focused and reads all day. It's quite interesting, he is quite all day long," I said.
"Maybe we are just finding a new side of him that he didn't even know he had," Uncle said, "he needs this though. He was constantly doing something at the Yunmeng Jiang Sect, there is no telling if he got enough rest."
"That I agree with you...I've been trying to find a way to convince Wei Wuxian not to go back to Lotus Pier. He is finally getting back to good health and his mental state has improved quite well. I fear if he goes back, all our hard work will be wasted," I said, "I hope you don't mind me suggesting he stays."
"It is okay," he said, "he and Wangji are courting...maybe consider a proposal. It would be an alliance with the Jiang Sect and maybe we can change their influences if we align with them."
"I can bring it up, but the two are taking things slow. It's a slow process but it is having a good outcome," I told him.
"That's good to hear," he said, "maybe I can find some free time in a couple days and go see Wei Wuxian. I feel like he and I have some things to discuss. We do not have a decent past and I want to fix that for the future."
"Okay, let me know and I can arrange it for you," I said and stood up, "I should get going. Leaving Wei Wuxian alone for a long period of time may or may not be a good thing right now."
"You make a good point," Uncle said, "I will speak with you later."
I bow and left.
