~*Lan Xichen's POV*~

I wasn't expecting for everything to play out the way it did at that conference meeting. Though, it was like it was so well planned even though it was unexpected. A'Xian effortlessly told everyone there that he destroyed the amulet. Also using the Lan Sect as witnesses, was not only the truth but it was clever. No one would dare question the Lan Sect of this if it were false. We are not a sect who lies. Everyone knows that.

After the meeting, I was surprised to hear A'Xian was going to open up to Jiang Wanyin. I was proud of him for taking such a huge step forward, but I know he was scared beyond belief on the inside right now. This type of secret will be a big wake up call for Jiang Wanyin. So when A'Xian asked me and Wangji to sit in, I knew it was to keep not only A'Xian calm, but to keep Jiang Wanyin from doing anything reckless.

Once inside Jiang Wanyin's room, I placed a privacy barrier within the room, "I think I should suggest weapons, should be put away and out of sight," I told them, "including Zidian."

"This secret is that big huh?" Jiang Wanyin asked.

"It is, and I'm not sure how you are going to take it," A'Xian told him.

Jiang Wanyin sighed and handed over his sword and Zidian. I placed them in a Qiankun Pouch along with A'Xian's sword and Chenqing.

"Also, Jiang Cheng, I do want to say I'm sorry that Xichen-Ge and Lan Zhan know this before you do...but just know that I still love you like my brother. I just didn't know how to come clean about it to you. I'm still afraid to tell you...as I fear how you will react and if you will hate me."

"I will try to keep an open mind and listen," he said, "also, Xichen-Ge?"

A'Xian chuckled, "he's like a brother to me. He's helped me out quite a bit...along with Lan Zhan."

"What, you are not calling him Wangji Gege?" Jiang Wanyin teased.

"No...he and I are courting," A'Xian admitted.

Jiang Wanyin blinked a couple times as he took in the information, "you both, together, as a couple?" He asked still a bit stunned, "well, I am a bit surprised, but I think I should have seen it coming. It makes so much sense!" He became loud, "no wonder you talked about him all the time. I wonder what Lan Zhan is doing, is Lan Zhan okay? I hope Lan Zhan isn't mad at me. Why does Lan Zhan alway frown?"

I smirked, "that many questions?" I asked.

"Hey," A'Xian said looking at me, "do I dare?"

I cleared my throat, "no, please continue," I said.

He smirked at me, "good," he said and turned to Jiang Wanyin, "so, this goes way back. Do you remember what happened after I rescued you from Lotus Pier with Wen Ning?"

"Kind of hard to forget," Jiang Wanyin stated.

"Wen Qing and I tricked you about Baoshan about giving you a new core," A'Xian explained.

"What do you mean? I have a golden core," Jiang Wanyin said, and then it dawned on him, "Wei Wuxian, what did you do?"

"I found a scroll in Wen Qing's medical books. It was on, golden core transfers. We tricked you into going to that random mountain. Wen Qing pretended to be Baoshan and sent a fragrance to knock you out. During that time, She cut out my golden core and gave it to you," A'Xian explained.

Jiang Wanyin placed his hand on his dantian, "why? Why would you do that?" He asked, "you just gave it all up for me? Why?"

"You were so depressed, and you wanted to get back at Wen Chao and Wen Zhuliu. You didn't want to continue living and you also had a sect to rebuild and run. I wouldn't have had a golden core if your father hadn't brought me in. I felt I owed you all for taking me in. I also promised them I would protect you, at the cost of my life. I figured, a golden core would be a good protection," A'Xian explained, "I'm sorry it took me so long to tell you...I just didn't know what you'd do or say."
