Wuxian eventually managed to get his act together and dress for the day after a lovely bath this morning. Wangji took Wuxian's hand as they left the room and went to meet up with Jiang Cheng for breakfast. When they arrived, Jiang Yanli had arrived from Lanling not long ago. Wuxian's smile grew at the sight of her.

"Shijie!" Wuxian said happily as he hugged her, "I missed you."

"I missed you two A'Xian," she said, "you have been doing good, as I can see."

"I am," Wuxian told her, "Lan Zhan and I are here to place new protection barriers around Lotus Pier."

"A'Cheng had already informed me," Yanli said, "why don't you two eat breakfast first?"

"Of course," Wangji said and led Wuxian to the table to eat.

Wangji was happy to see Wuxian was feeling a little better today. With the war coming, Wangji wanted to give Wuxian as many happy moments as possible. Wangji was not looking forward to the war either but even more so for Wuxian, he wanted to do what he could to make sure Wuxian was okay. He would do whatever it took to convince Wuxian he was not leaving his side. After they all ate breakfast, Yanli and Jiang Cheng went around Lotus Pier with Wangji and Wuxian to help with the new barriers. Yanli wasn't all that strong to help with the barriers, but she was there to spend some time with everyone.

"Shijie, when is your wedding?" Wuxian asked as he sent out a talisman to set up a barrier.

"Well, with the plans that had been made for the attack in two week, Jin Zixuan and I thought that next month would be good. It could bring some joy into this mess that the sects are in," Yanli said, "and, Jiang Cheng agreed to let you pick the name."

Wuxian stopped what he was doing and looked at Wangji for a moment. Wangji shrugged as he and Wuxian looked at Yanli, "a name for what?" Wuxian asked.

"For our nephew," Jiang Cheng said with a smirk, "we thought you'd like to pick the courtesy name."

"Really?" Wuxian asked.

Yanli nodded, "what do you think?"

Wei Wuxian thought for a moment and looked at Wangji. Wuxian smiled and turned back to Yanli, "the next generation of the Jin Clan is Ru, correct?" Wuxian asked.

"Yes it is," Yanli confirmed.

"Then, let's go with Jin Rúlán," Wuxian told her.

Lan Wangji blinked and stared at Wei Wuxian with a little bit of shock running through his eyes. He was looking at Wuxian to make sure he heard him right.

Rúlán...Rúlán...really? Wangji thought.

"Why that name, it's between the Jin clan and the Jiang Clan, you make it seem like it's from the Lan Clan," Jiang Cheng stated.

Wangji wanted to glare at Jiang Cheng but he held himself back. Wei Wuxian spoke, "what is wrong with the Lan Sect?" Wuxian asked, "Lan means orchid, a gentry among flowers."

Wangji smiled as he looked down at his feet. Yanli could see Wangji feeling special just from Wuxian's words. She happened to like the name that her Shidi had picked and decided to take it.

"Alright you two," Yanli said, "We also agreed to let A'Xian pick. Rúlán is a good name."

"Thank you Shijie," Wuxian said.

"When is your wedding?" Yanli asked.

Wuxian giggled, "it will probably happen towards the end of the year. Lan Xichen is also engaged so we are planning around his wedding."

"Since when was he engaged?" Jiang Cheng asked, surprised.

"Did you not see Wen Qing with Xichen-Ge at Qinghe?" Wuxian asked, "Lan Zhan and I defended her when Jin screw-head was insulting her."

"Screw-head?" Jiang Cheng asked with a smirk.

"I could have said something more vulgar but I didn't want to say such things with Shijie here," Wuxian said, folding his arms.

"So, are you planning a double wedding?" Yanli asked.

Wuxian looked at Wangji again, "I mean, we could but it would take a while to pick a date that is suitable for the four of us," Wuxian answered.

"That makes sense, but whatever you both decide, we will support you," Yanli said.

Wuxian nodded and went back to setting up the new protection barrier around Lotus Pier. When he was done, he and Wangji went to visit the archery range. Seeing the newer disciples working with a bow, Wei Wuxian wondered who was teaching them. They were a mess. No one was relaxed, their postures were off, and they could not shoot even a simple target across from them. So Wuxian was thinking about forgetting the kites for a while. He had a lot of work to do.

"Lan Zhan, you are good with a bow," Wuxian said remembering his archery skills, "would you mind helping me with them? They are a mess."

Wangji nodded, "even I feel bad for them. They need work."

So, one by one, Wangji and Wuxian helped the disciples. They started with the disciples who were struggling the most and with the younger disciples. Those who were getting their bearings with a bow and doing okay, they helped afterwards. Wuxian could not remember the last time he had to help such a struggling mess of disciples with a bow. After some time, he and Wangji stepped aside to let the disciples practice on their own. Wei Wuxian was starting to feel a bit nostalgic. He remembered when he first started using a bow, and Jiang Fengmian helped him. Just thinking about it, caused a tear to slip from Wuxian's eye. Wuxian's mind came out of his deep thoughts when he felt a warm hand wipe the tears away.

"Oh, sorry," Wuxian said calmly.

"You are apologizing for crying?" Wangji asked, "you do not need to apologize to me, remember? Also, why are you crying?"

"I forgot I have no need to apologize to you," Wuxian said leaning into Wangji's chest, "I was just thinking about when I started to learn how to use a bow. Uncle Jiang Fengmian would help me. When I would get frustrated, he would tell me that it is alright to make mistakes when you are learning something so new. He taught me everything he knows about archery, and he always said I was his best student when it came to archery."

"I can see why," Wangji said, hugging Wuxian and rubbing his hands up and down Wuxian's back, "you are a very talented cultivator, Wei Ying. I have seen you use a bow more than once and you are amazing with it. Far better than I could ever be."

"Lan Zhan, overpraising is forbidden in your sect," Wuxian teased.

"I am not inside my sect," Wangji said with a smirk, "I do not need to mind the rules to the letter when I am outside. There are some I always stick with, but there are some that I do not mind letting go. Being able to praise my Wei Ying is something I will always do. Inside or outside of my sect."

"Lan Zhan, you are making my heart melt with so much of your heart warming words," Wuxian said, "you need to be careful."

"I will make sure to carefully put your heart back into place," Wangji told him.

Wuxian chuckled and shoved his face into Wangji's neck, "I love you so much, Lan Zhan."

"I love you too, Wei Ying," Wangji said in response.
