Chapter 52

"Wei Ying, courtesy name, Wuxian. Son of Wei Changze and Cangse Sanren. Grandson and disciple of Baoshan Sanren. Has had a rough time up to this point. Witnessing his parents die by a group of dire wolves, and having to burn and bury his parents remains. He lived on the streets for a few years, and fought more dire dogs for food and warm places to sleep.

Taken in by the Yunmeng Jiang Sect, only to be treated half like a son and half like a slave. Beaten and berated, scolded to, and blamed for faults that were not of his doing. A boy willing to sacrifice himself for the good and righteous path. Sacrificing his golden core and risking losing everything from his choices. He gained his strength back.

Lan Zhan, courtesy name, Wangji. Son of Qingheng Jun and Madam Lan Xiuying (I don't know if she has a name or if it was ever given so I just made one up). A boy who is described as cold and expressionless. Yet, his heart bears it all. His actions are more important then what little words he speaks. Love unconditionally and will stand by his choices.

His path was difficult, always hiding how he felt, holding his pain inside. Feeling he doesn't deserve to be loved. Blamed himself for not being good enough, and that was why his mother left. People admire him for his strength and his righteousness, but fear his icy exterior.

Two souls who hide their pain but wear their hearts on their sleeves. Though of the same gender, love has no boundaries. Love of the Fated Eternal Soulmates, a precious and rare gift from the heavens. Chosen to be together through many lifetimes, and fight through any hardships together.

Though, if one dies, the other will soon parish. Even before the eternal bond is set, there will be signs. Constantly drawn to each other, always happy together, and will have conflicts but will resolve after communicating properly. The best way to adjust, is to learn to read each other, learn to communicate, learn to understand the other person.

The mirror soon stopped glowing and sharing the information. It explained everything. They were fated, destined. It explains why Wangji is now at A'Xian's cultivation level and could ascend to immortality soon as well. Uncle and I were just taking it all in. Wangji and A'Xian seemed to be smiling and staring at each other.

"I officially want to say I want to marry you," A'Xian said happily.

Wangji blushed, "we will," he said.

"Shufu and I have to officially speak with Sect Leader Jiang but we can say that you two are engaged," I said.

"Very well," Shufu said.

"I know we just got all that information, but I was planning on coming to you, Shufu," I explained.

"What did you want to speak about? Are Wuxian and Wangji okay to hear?" He asked.

"They can stay," I said, the two were now paying attention again, "Sect Leader Nie, sent me a letter stated that there have been corpses sighted at Yiling, and near a city in Yunmeng called Yunping City. I sent to him that he can send for aid if he needs it, but we will look into it if he needs us to."

"Yunping City is not far from Lotus Pier," A'Xian said, "should we send something to Jiang Cheng?"

"I will alert him and tell him to keep his guard up," I said. I could tell A'Xian was worried, "if you want to go to Lotus Pier for a bit, help him out, you are more than welcome to."

"I would be happy to...but since I am now dealing not only with water, but now fire, I would hate to set something on fire at Lotus Pier. Plus no one outside Cloud Recesses knows of my new cultivation. People targeted me once they could again," he said.

"Fire?" Shufu asked.

"I forgot to report to you, Wuxian has now discovered he had fire cultivation as well," I said, "there is no telling when or if he goes out of control right now. He is still trying to learn about it all."

Shufu nodded, "unless you really feel the need to go back, we will not stop you, but please tell us and we may be of help. Also, it may be wise to steer clear of the public of this knowledge of your new abilities for your past has been questioned before. We want to protect you but we have to do the right. We will do what we can to help you control your abilities," Shufu explained.

"Thank you," A'Xian said, "I think if Jiang Cheng needs me, he will tell me. Otherwise I will stay for now. Though, you will tell him right?"

"When I write to him, I will let him know," I said.

He nodded, "so, we know this isn't me. Any news on Meng Yao since Jin Guangshan got taken into custody?"

"I still haven't heard anything...maybe we could have some people look into the old shooting sun palace at Qishan. Some may think it's the last place he would go, but as he has knowledge of the place and a map of it, he would find it useful," I explained.

"That is true," A'Xian said, "He was there as a spy for you back during the Sunshot campaign. If he has gotten maps of Qishan and the Wen Sect. He could be hiding there...maybe he wants his own clan? It's a big theory but if Meng Yao wanted recognition and revenge, a clan of his own is a good way to start. Even Su She made his own clan after he betrayed your clan. So it's just a theory."

"It's a smart theory, I will select some disciples to look into it and also let Sect Leader Nie know about this thought. Maybe even Sect Leader Jiang," I said.

"Sure," A'Xian said and looked at Wangji, "should we go talk?"

Wangji nodded, " Wei Ying and I are heading out then."

"Take care and I will speak with you both soon," I said.
