We ended up going to a more private table at a nearby restaurant. I knew there were good options for Lan Zhan to choose from so it would be suitable for his palette. As for Baoshan, turns out she and I have similar interest with spicy food.
"I am guessing you want the whole story of why we were looking for you specifically?" I asked her.
"That would be nice to know," she said happily.
"It's a long story, and I am hoping you will listen with an open mind," I said to her.
"Of course," she said, "your parents died so long ago, how long were you on your own?"
"I witnessed it," I told her. She looked shocked, "Mother had me hiding safely away while she and Father were dealing with a few dire wolves. My father passed first. Mother gave me her ribbon before she passed. I also burned their bodies in my own. I meant to bury them but I never found a good place."
I took out a pouch with my parents ashes and handed them to her, "maybe you would know where she would like them to be...I was alone on the streets for three years maybe. I was taken in my Jiang Fengmian, from the Yunmeng Jiang Sect. I didn't have a good start when I first entered. His wife, Yu Ziyuan, was upset that he brought me back with him..."
"Can I ask something of you?" She asked.
"Yes," I said.
"Would you be willing to come back to my mountain with me? You can take your partner. I have something there that can help me with seeing your past memories," she asked.
"Why do you have the rule of not allowing disciples back if they leave?" I asked.
"It was because after I let my first disciple go, they passed away in a horrible death. I didn't want that for them. I also felt that they would bring unwelcome people back with them. I tried to convince Cangse that she can come back with her husband but she chose to continue traveling," she explained, "you two are free to come and go as you please only if you don't bring unexpected guests back with you."
Lan Zhan and I agreed, "should we tell Jiang Cheng before we go?"
"He knows we are looking for someone..but we have our things to go get," Lan Zhan told me.
I nodded, "can we meet up at the docks where we met up before? Lan Zhan and I just need to get some things and we can leave with you."
"Of course," she said.
After eating, Lan Zhan and I went to inform Jiang Cheng and Shijie about us finding the person and we wanted to go with them. They were okay with it of course. Lan Zhan and I gathered our things and said our goodbyes to my siblings. We then met up with Baoshan.
"Take my hand," she said to both Lan Zhan and me.
We each took a hand and waited. We were then teleported out of there. I had never experienced such a thing but it was incredible. We landed by a set of stone steps leading up through the trees. Purple flowers scattered the ground as we walked.

He he path then led through an old building now in ruins. Nature taking its course and decorated with flowers, moss, and other plant life.

We were then led down the path to a very beautiful place. It had a giant tree and a castle like structure built within and around it. This place screamed Baoshan. If she was an immortal and she has been around for so long, it would make sense that she would have such a location.

She then lead us inside and to a large open room. There was a big window at the center wall and then in the center of the room, was a platform.

"In the center of that platform, a large cloud will appear when I call it. All I need is for you to send over some spiritual energy to it and it will show me all of your memories, from the day you were born, up until now. It will choose specific memories of course otherwise we would be here a long time," she explained, "are you willing?"
"It is not pleasant to see, and I am ashamed to even see myself like that again," I told her.
"I can allow you to sleep while we watch it through. Your partner can answer questions as best as he can while you sleep," she said, "I will not judge your decision or your past. I will keep an open mind."
I nodded. She summoned out the cloud and I passed over some energy like she explained. I then looked at Lan Zhan, "you know most of it, but you still won't judge me, right?" I asked.
"Will not judge you," he said.
Lan Zhan then kissed me. It was a gentle one and sweet. I felt him sending over calming energy to me to have me sleep. I pulled away and curled up into him. He then sat down beside Baoshan with me in his lap. She then helped me sleep.
