Oneshot 2.2

Ella's POV

It was 2 weeks since I came back from the States and I am here right now sa isang restaurant. Waiting for the two to arrive. Nauna akong dumating sa meet up place namin with our friends so I text the two na nandito na ako. I received a text a while ago from our friends na kakakitain namin that they are also here at the resto, waiting for us.

I wanted to go to them pero what I've seen earlier, parang nawala yung lakas ko.

"They are here." I told to myself. Mula sa kinatatayuan ko ay nakita ko ang mga dati naming kaibigan. Sina Rachel, kasama nya ang boyfriend nya, si Mela at si Kim, at pati na rin si Gretchen at si Fille. Hindi nila ako makikita dahil may mga halaman na nagtatakip sakin mula sakanila.

Nung makita ko si Gretchen ay parang tumigil bigla ang mundo ko. She's still beautiful when I left her. Naging mas mature ang pangangatawan at facial features niya. Kung may nagbago man maybe konti lang. Nonetheless she is still my Gretchen, my By.

Nakaramdam ako ng pagbilis ng puso ko. It is still the same beats that I feel whenever she was near.

So I think maybe my heart recognized whom she belongs.

Kung di kaya ako umalis noon, are we really still together in the end? Sa tingin ko hindi din. Sa tingin ko kahit anong gawin ko... Kahit anong gawin namin... We still can't be together..

Flashback...

I am now in the hospital, magpapacheck up ako kasi dumadalas ang abnormal beating ng heart ko at paminsan minsan ay madali na akong mapagod which is very unusual for me dahil na rin athlete ako noon pa man at hindi ako madaling mapagod. After this ay kakikitain ko si Besh Den. She called me yesterday, asking for some of my time to have some cup of coffee, at dahil wala naman akong magawa, I agreed.

I was just outside of the doctor's office waiting for the final evaluation and result of my tests. I already got some tests such as CT scans and such all to determine what is wrong with me, especially to my heart.

Gretchen doesn't know na magpapacheck up ako kasi I know mag ooverthink na naman sya at ifoforce nyang sumama sakin to know if I am really okay and besides may mahalagang meeting sya ngayon so I dont want to bother her. Nagpaalam lang ako sakanya na magkikita kami ni Den later and she agreed naman.

"Ms. De Jesus, you can go inside na po. The doctor is waiting for you." Said the nurse. Agad naman akong tumayo at pumasok sa opisina ng doctor.

"Good afternoon doc." Bati ko sa doctor nung makapasok na ako sa loob at laking gulat ko nung makita ko kung sino sya.

"M-Mae..."

"Hey." Malambing nitong bati kaya agad ko syang niyakap.

"How are you?? When did you came back??" I asked her.

"I am good. Natupad ko na yung matagal kong gusto na maging doctor. Last year pa ako nakauwi ng Pilipinas."

"Bat di ka man lang nagpasabi. I missed you so much."

"Busy eh. I was in and out of the country so I dont have the chance to see you. And for the record mas miss kita. How about you?? How are you?"

"I don't know. You tell me?" I playfully said. She stopped for a moment and got a deep sighed that makes me feel nervous.

"What is it Mae? I-Is that really serious??" Kinakabahan kong tanong sakanya. I can tell that she is serious because I know Mae Tajima doesn't know how to make a joke.

"I think it is better if you sit down first." She said at iginiya nya ako para maupo tsaka sya umupo sa kaharap lang nitong upuan.

"What is it Mae?" I asked eventhough parang hihimatayin na ako sa kaba. I can see the hesitation in her face.
