Luna

"My parents won't be there, I've got the full house to myself," Ryan said. "I'll tell you, it'll be the party of the year. Way better than Brandon's last summer."
"Don't talk so big before it even happened. My party's still echoing in my bones," Brandon laughed, slapping his hand on Ryan's back.

Luna was walking with Reyna and their friends that Friday afternoon. Class had ended half an hour ago, but they had remained in the seminar room and discussed the text and some aspects in their group. They had just left and started chatting, but Luna wasn't exactly listening. She wouldn't go to the party anyway, at least as long as Reyna didn't appear on her doorstep and dragged her to it. She could imagine that Reyna was in the mood to party, considering they had Saturday night off.

Not like Luna didn't like to party, she did. But partying with people that aren't exactly your friends, and one of them being your ex, who doesn't get that they're over, isn't the most fun thing. Also, she rather spend it with the girls or Lucas.

"I don't care. I need a break, so count me in," Olivia said.
"I'm in too," Victoria agreed and one by one the others did too.
"You need some help?" Jayson asked. He and Brandon, his best friend and Reyna's ex, were here too and Luna had neither missed the looks he gave her nor his attempts to talk to her and make her forgive him.

"Could need some to get the drinks and food," Ryan said. Luna took out her phone. She smiled seeing that Lucas had texted her, asking if she wanted to stay over at his place tonight.
"I'll come too," Brandon offered. They went on to discuss what they would need to get and prepare. From there she stopped listening and texted back Lucas.

'I do, but I have to work until midnight.' She didn't have to wait too long for his reply.
'I'll pick you up. What are you doing?'
'Still at university. Reyna and I will drive straight to work now. What about you?' A look over to her friend told her that Reyna wasn't exactly listening herself.

'Training with Caleb. Have to go back to that, unfortunately. I'll text you later.'
'I'll be waiting for your text.' She added a heart to it and got one in return.
'I love you, my luna.'
'I love you too, prince charming.' She smiled writing it.
'But only for you,' was his reply before she slipped the phone back into her pocket and listened to the conversation again. They were still talking about the party.

"Reyna, you're coming?"
"Might have to work," she told them. That was a lie. The two of them would be working in the morning and afternoon and it was unlike Reyna to lie. If she didn't want to go, she would just say so.

"Can't you take off?" Brandon asked, raising an eyebrow. Luna and her had done that a couple of times since their working hours were very flexible. Julie let them work as they wanted as long as someone was always there.
"I'll ask, but I can't promise anything," Reyna replied.

"You'll be my date for the party, Lulu?" Jayson asked.
"First, since when do you call me like that?" Jason had always said it was embarrassing to call her like that in public. Not that he did it in private. It was always babe or baby. And now that she knew how it felt to be called love or my luna, which basically meant my life, she would never give that away. "Second, still have a handsome boyfriend, who is not you." She grinned at him, a little surprised by where that confidence came from.

"Third, that boyfriend of hers is damn good for her self-confidence. I like it," Reyna chipped in and smiled at her. Jayson threw her an annoyed look, but Reyna ignored it.
"Doesn't mean we can't go as friends, right?" he tried again. How was she supposed to make it clear to him that he lost her, that she would never come back to him and was happily in a relationship with someone that valued her for her.
