Chapter 87: The Park

Max's pov

"You know what I wanna do?" el suddenly asked as we were walking. "what is it?" I asked. "I wanna go to the zoo or to a carnival" el said. I laughed. "what? Is it funny?" el asked giggling. "No it's not funny, it's a good idea love" I said smiling.

"okay" she said smiling. "Are you scared of animals maxie?" el said jokingly. "Me? No" I said laughing. "Are you?" I asked. "Not really, it depends on the animal. I mean who isn't scared of lions" el said. "true" I said.

"You know what I really want? I want a dog and a cat" el said smiling. I smiled. "Same, I do have a dog but mom doesn't let him inside" I said. "oh yeah right, hopper won't let me though" el said. "Doesn't Joyce let you?" I asked. "I don't know, they used to have a dog but not anymore, I think he passed away, I'm not sure" el said.

"Oh damn" I said. "Yeah hopper likes dog but he says they're hard to keep, say that they need care you know just excuses. One day will and I will convince them" el said.

"I hope you get one, do you want a cat too?" I asked. She nodded. "A kitten,cats are so cute" el said. "oh! I would like a bunny too!" el said excitedly. I giggled at her reaction. "I mean, bunnies are cute and all but they smell horrible" I said. "It's fine" el said.

"I also want a bird" el said. I laughed. "You want lots of animals don't you?" I said laughing. "You know.. When we grow up.. You and I will live in an apartment together, we can get one cat and a dog and maybe a hamster!" el said excitedly.

"You think about the future with me?" I asked in awe. She stopped walking and looked at me. "of course I do" el said smiling. "so do I" I said smiling. We both grinned and then leaned in. As we were kissing someone honked.

It was a car. We were standing and walking on the pavement so we didn't bother anyone. "Disgusting dykes! Stop kissing" an old man with his truck yelled as he was driving. He saw us kissing so that's why he honked. "What the hell?" I said.

Before we could say anything he already drove away from us. "what just happened?" el asked confused as we looked at each other. "Homophobic people, that's what happened" I said rolling my eyes. "Yeah" el said. "But that doesn't stop me, come here love" I said leaning in again.

She smiled and kissed back. Then we continued walking towards the park. After about 5 minutes we arrived at the park. Only few people were there. We sat down on the bench.

"I wanna skate" I said as we were watching a few people skating far from us. The doctor said its best I don't so im not allowed since I've had a surgery.

"I know, it needs time you'll be able to after some time" el said. I nodded. "but I've missed it, I feel like an old lady" I complained. She giggled. "you feel like an old lady just because you can't skate right now?" el asked.

I nodded. "I mean, I bet I can skate but the doctor doesn't let me" I said. "we don't have to rush it and risk it, you just had a surgery love" el said. "I know" I said.

"wait why did you bring it with you anyway?" el asked frowning. "Oh um.. Out of habit" I said. "oh okay, you weren't planning on using it right?" el asked raising her eyebrow

"I've wanted to try a little-" I said. She gave me a serious look, like a "strict mom" look. "Just a little I promise, to try. Not like those guys over there" I said.

"Oh okay.. you're sitll not doing it though sorry babe" el said. I rolled my eyes. "ugh you and the doctor are taking away the love of my life!" I complained jokingly.

"I thought I was the love of your life?" she joked raising her eyebrows. "You are, skateboarding is the second love of my life" I said giggling. "Okay.. I can accept that I guess" el said giggling.
