Logan dived into the water and grabbed Kaia's legs, making her scream.
"You jerk!"
He came up laughing as she cursed at him.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't resist doing that." Logan gasped, trying to hold in his laughter but it was impossible.
"Stay away from me or I'm gonna beat you down." Kaia glared at him before swimming away to the other side of Aaron.
"I'd like to see you try."
Logan sank his body beneath the water, until only his face was visible.
He turned his head to follow her movements when he realized Aaron was still watching him. Logan tried not to show that he was affected by Aaron's stare but he had to look away from his piercing gaze.
"I'm going to grab a drink. Do you guys want anything?"
Logan swam to shore and made his way to the vehicle to grab a bottled juice. He took a sip, wiping his mouth when a little spilled from the bottle.
"Why were you in a rush to get out of the water?"
Logan spun around when he heard Aaron's voice behind his back. He was surprised he hadn't heard any noise at all from his footsteps.
"Next time, make a little noise. You almost scared the hell out of me."
Aaron gave him a small smile as he opened the cooler and took out a beer.
"Are you going to be okay driving later?" Logan asked in a worried voice.
"Don't worry...I'm only going to drink one beer."
Logan tried to ignore Aaron's naked body, but his eyes couldn't help but trailed down his lean well-defined chest to his perfectly prominent abs.
His eyes were drawn even lower to his happy trail disappearing into his swim trunks.
"You like staring at me?"
Logan quickly brought his head up, eyes wide as he stared at Aaron. He hadn't realized he was staring so blatantly at him. Logan's mind drew blank on a response so he looked away.
Aaron stepped closer to him, and leaned forward until their faces were almost touching.
Logan's breath hitched as he felt his heart beat faster at their closeness.
"I'm going back into the water."
"Why? Don't you like my company?"
Aaron took a chug of his beer, while his other hand touched Logan's leg.
Logan tried to appear calm but that single touch had his stomach quivering.
"I'm not used to...Can you stop that?"
Logan looked down at the hand touching him. Those fingers were lightly caressing his skin, leaving tingles over his body.
"Don't you like me touching you?"
With every word he spoke, Aaron would trail his fingers higher on his leg.
Logan froze when those fingers inched closer to the front of his trunks. He took deep breaths, trying to calm himself down. Not wanting Aaron to find out he was getting aroused by his touch, he put a hand on his, halting his movements.
"I think we should join Kaia."
Aaron stared at him for a minute before putting down his beer. "Come on, let's go."
"Aren't you gonna finish your beer?"
"No...I rather swim with you."
Logan walked towards the lake without responding to Aaron's words. What could he say to that?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Did you enjoy yourself, Logan?"
Logan glanced back at Kaia and smiled at her sleeping in the back seat.
"It was great. It's been a long time since I enjoyed myself like that."
"Well, I'm happy you had a good time." Aaron said, smiling at him before turning his attention back to the road.
Logan took a deep breath as he watched the scenery passed by. The sun was just about to set, giving the sky an array of beautiful colors. His parents had loved watching the sunset.
"Would you like to meet up tomorrow. We can go to class together."
"Sure," Logan hadn't expected that offer from Aaron. But he was glad because he didn't want to be alone in a new environment.
"Great. I'll pick you up in front of your building."
The drive to his dorm came too fast, that Logan found himself reluctant to exit the jeep. He grabbed his bag from the backseat, making sure not to disturb Kaia.
"Do you want me to walk you up to your dorm room?"
Logan shook his head. "You can't leave Kaia alone."
"Call me as soon as you reach your room."
Logan nodded at him before walking inside the building to the elevator. He hadn't seen any other student as yet, but he guessed since it was still early, they won't be back until later.
He was so occupied with his thinking that he wasn't paying any attention to where he was walking.
It was too late to stop, he hit something hard. Logan glanced up when he realized it was a human body standing in front of him. He hastily stepped back, while rubbing his forehead.
"You should probably keep your head up when you're walking."
"Sorry," Logan apologized, before he continued walking toward the elevator. He glanced over his shoulder, to see if the guy was still there but he was alone. He hadn't even seen his face.
The elevator took him to his floor, and Logan could feel the emptiness of the place. His footsteps echoed on the hard floor. Logan started walking to his door but before he neared the door, a noise from behind him made him stop.
Logan stood there contemplating if he should turn around or just continue to his room. But curiosity won this argument. He turned slowly to look down the hallway but frowned when he saw that the it was empty.
He quickly unlocked the door and entered his dorm room, making sure that the door was secured before going into his bedroom.
After putting away his belongings, he dialed Aaron's number. It rang twice before he answered.
"I was just about to call you."
"Did I take too long to call?" Logan asked when he heard noise in the background.
"No...I'm just dropping Kaia to her dorm."
"How far away is her dorm from mine?"
"Not too far, actually."
Logan stripped off his clothes as he talked to Aaron then headed into the bathroom. He pushed aside the curtain to turn on the shower.
"What are you doing?"
"About to take a shower."
Silence fell on the other side, so he pulled the phone away from his ear to check the screen.
"Aaron...are you still there?"
"Yeah...I just got distracted. Listen, go take your shower then call me back."
"Okay. I'll call you in a while." Logan hang up the phone then walked to the bathroom.
