Dirk stared down at the dead body on the ground, his face etched with disgust.
"How is it possible that you can't do a simple job?" He asked looking at the guys he had hired.
"I don't think it will be easy get him alone."
"I'm not paying you guys to think. I expect to see results." Dirk turned to his right hand man. "Did you find any information on that college student that hangs out with Logan?"
"He's just a regular college student."
"You keep telling me that he's a regular student. Didn't your contact find any other information on him?"
"No."
"Tonight is the last that I'm going to overlook your incompetence. Bring him here to me by any means necessary. Anyone gets in your way, kill them. Take the body and dispose of it."
He dismissed everyone except his right hand man from the room. Dirk pulled a photo from his pocket to stare at it. He doubted it was just a coincidence. How could there not be any more information on this guy?
Dirk didn't want to draw any unwanted attention. His face has been on the news since he escaped and he had no intention of getting caught.
Phil had double crossed him, no way was he going to let him get away with that. Unfortunately, no one could find out where he disappeared to.
"What do you want to do?"
Dirk handed him the photo. "I want you to show this picture to your associates. See if anyone knows him."
"What will you do with that information?"
Dirk heard a slight interest in the man's voice. "Do you want him for yourself?"
"I wouldn't object to the idea."
Dirk eyed his right hand man, seeing the dangerous glint in his eyes.
Dirk shrugged his shoulders. "If you can bring Logan to me, you can keep his friend." The man gave him a half smile before leaving the room.

"Do you still want Aaron to stay on this case?" Detective Finn asked Harold, taking a seat.
Harold sighed. "He's the best person to do the job. No one else."
"Why do you want him to stay undercover?" Detective Finn leaned back on the chair and folded his arms.
"We both know how he ended up in foster care."
"I know. It was a tough time for everyone."
"He had become attached to you. He wouldn't go anywhere without you in sight. He joined the academy because he wanted to help others."
Detective Finn stared at him. "What's really going on here, Harold?"
Harold opened his drawer and pulled out the envelope. He placed the envelope down on his desk and pushed it toward him. Detective Finn examined the contents of the envelope before a curse fell from his mouth.
"I thought we caught everyone involved."
"Someone still has eyes on Aaron."
"Why now? Aaron isn't a child anymore."
"I don't know." Harold sighed. "When we arrested his dad, he told us Aaron was a special child."
"We still haven't caught Dirk, now there's someone after Aaron. What do you want to do?"
"For now, we need to investigate this quietly."
"Are you going to tell his parents?"
"Let's gather more information before we tell them. I don't want them to worry."
"Will you put him under protection detail?"
"Kyle will protect him while he's working the case."
"You want him to stay on the case to distract him while we investigate this." Detective Finn handed him the envelope.
"Exactly."
