Dirk was beyond pissed. He had been so close to getting what he craved but yet again, Logan had slipped through his fingers.
"Do you even know how to do your fucking job? A college student duped a bunch of grown ass men. Does this makes sense?"
"He doesn't act like a regular college student."
Dirk glared at his men. "Of course he's not a college student. He was able to take down half of my men and escape. Does that make any sense?"
"We didn't know that things would get out of hand."
"I don't fucking care! Get the fuck out of here!"
All his men filed out the room without a word. Hank was leaning against the wall with his arms folded not saying a word. Dirk turned his head to look at him.
"Why haven't you said anything?"
"I have nothing to say." Hank pushed off the wall to walk over to his desk.
"We need to get more men."
"I'll see how many men I can gather."

"We need to find that damn mole!"
"What happened?" Kaia asked at hearing Harold's outburst.
"Aaron sent me a message earlier."
"What kind of message?"
"Dirk found their location. He tried to take Logan but they were able to escape unscathed."
"I'm going to contact my friend." Kaia told him, pulling out her phone.
Harold turned to Pete. "I want you to bring everything you have found so far and join us in the meeting room."
Pete looked up when the door opened and in walked Mitch and another guy he didn't recognized. He tried to keep his face impassive when Mitch looked his way but his heart was another matter.
Harold got up and pointed to the guy standing next to Mitch. "This is Officer Ryan Delko. He was working undercover with Dirk."
A shocked silence filled the room. No one was expecting an escape convict to be an undercover cop. Pete had never seen his picture but he had heard about Dirk escaping with another inmate.
"He had to break his cover when Dirk ordered him to kidnap a female college student."
Ryan stepped forward. "I've been working undercover for three years. I had to gain Dirk's trust."
"Why didn't you stop him from killing those college students?" Kaia asked.
"That's one of the things I regretted but Dirk kept me in the dark. I only found out after I saw the news then I figured it had to do with him."
"What about the female student?"
"She's fine. She's with her family."
"How did you pull that off?"
"I had to find an identical lookalike then switched the bodies."
"We can catch up later. Right now there is more important matters. Pete get those papers from your office."
Pete headed to the door only to be stopped by a hand on his arm. He turned his head to find Mitch right behind him. "I'm coming with you."
"I don't need your..."
"Mitch can help you with those boxes."
Pete left the room without a word. It was pointless anyway. He kept his head forward, ignoring the man next to him. He pushed the door open and entered his office.
"You can grab that both of those boxes off the table."
"Pete, look at me."
"I'll get this one." Pete shifted around to pick up the box but froze when Mitch walked up to him, pressing his front to his back.
"I told you to look at me. Why are you ignoring me."
Pete could feel all that manliness against his ass and it was turning him on. "I'm not ignoring you." Pete's brain went haywire when Mitch nuzzled up against him. All his talking ability went right out the window.
"We need to talk."
How did he expect him to think rationally with his dick pressing against his ass?
"Why are you here Mitch?" He cleared his throat when his voice croaked.
"Your boss wanted my help."
Pete tried to move away but his ass kept rubbing against Mitch. Mitch's hold tightened as he let out a groan against Pete's neck.
Pete froze when he felt something hard poked his ass. To distract himself he feigned nonchalance but all he wanted to do was feel that hard...
"Pete, are you listening to me?"
Pete wiped a hand over his mouth, hoping Mitch couldn't hear his heart thumping against his chest. "We can talk after the briefing. Can you let me go now?"
Mitch stepped back but it seemed to Pete that he hesitated for a second.
"Don't try to run from me Pete."
The way Mitch spoke those words made a shiver ran down his spine. He picked up the box and walked out the door. So much for keeping his distance.
He walked through the door and placed the box on the table. "This is everything pertaining to Dirk."
Mitch placed the other two boxes on the table then took a seat.
"Pete has been helping me collect any information on Dirk since he escaped."
"I found out that he visited Trappas Bar to find out information about Aaron."
"Why would Dirk want information about Aaron?" Kaia asked.
"Dirk is a narcissist. He thinks that he can get whatever he wants. Logan has slipped through his fingers; twice. He thought Aaron was a regular college student. To be duped like that is a blow to his ego. He would try everything to get Logan and get rid of the one person preventing him from achieving that."
"Do you know the person he went to see?"
"I'm still waiting on that information."
"How are we going to flush out the mole?"
"Mitch has a plan."
Pete glanced at Mitch, eyes wide with surprise. Now he knew the reason Harold invited him to join in the meeting. Mitch stood up and walked over to the crime board.
"I've been thinking about this for a while now." Mitch explained his plan to the group.
"Do you think this will work?" Kaia asked pointing at the board.
"Yes it will."
"Then let's do it."
