As Theo rounded a curve, Aaron caught sight of headlights speeding down the cliff-hanging road.

Aaron braced himself as the vehicle skidded on the road. He leaned forward and reached under the seat, trying to find the phone.

"How did Justin managed to bring me to another country?"

"He used a private plane."

"How are we getting out of this country?"

"There's a plane waiting for us. But we only have an hour before it leaves."

"How far is it?"

"Aaron, look out!"

As if on cue, one of the jeeps driving behind, managed to reach the passenger side. Aaron ducked as the side window shattered, spewing glass over him.

Aaron leaned out the opened window, raised his gun and fired twice at the vehicle. The bullet hit the driver, making him lose control of the vehicle.

The jeep flipped, landing on its side.

"Did you get hurt?" Theo asked, glancing over at him.

Aaron shook his head. "No, I'm good."

He brushed the glass off his clothes then twisted his body to look out the back window.

"We just have to keep enough distance between us and the rest."

Aaron knew if they get caught, it was over for them. He might never be able to escape at all. It was as though Justin had his men everywhere. So far they were able to evade them.

  But for how much longer?

"We're almost out of ammo. We need to..."

The vroom of motorcycles sounded behind them. Aaron spotted two motorcycles weaving between the vehicles at high speed.

Gunshots rang out as the motorists aimed their guns at the jeep.

Theo jerked on the wheel, and the jeep tilted slightly as it turned the corner, hitting the bumper of a parked car.

"So much for a quiet getaway."

Aaron grabbed the shotgun from the backseat. "We need to take out those bikers."

He glanced in the side mirror, saw one of the motorists speeding up to flank his side. He waited, waited for the motorcycle to get closer, before holding up the shotgun and firing at the motorist. The blast from the shotgun flung the body off the bike to the ground.

The revving of an engine caught his attention. The other motorist had driven to the driver's side. Theo had one hand on the wheel, the other holding his gun.

"I got this one."

Two shots rang out and the motorist disappeared from sight.

"I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you can shoot a gun."

"I had to learn how to shoot a gun."

"Are you going to tell...?"

There was a loud boom, and the jeep spun out of control. Theo gripped the steering wheel as the vehicle plunged down a steep hill.

Pain erupted in his skull when his head connected to the side of the door as the vehicle came to a rough stop.

"Aaron... Aaron are you okay?"

Aaron put a head to his head, and it came away smeared with blood. He glanced out the window and saw that his side had hit a tree.

Theo turned to look at him and a cursed left his mouth. "You're fucking bleeding."

"I hit my head."

Aaron heard tires screeched above their heads. He snatched the bag from the backseat and handed it at Theo.

"Try to open your door."

Theo tried the door handle but it wouldn't open at first. He banged his shoulder against the door until finally budged. He shoved the door outward and climbed out.

Aaron unbuckled his seatbelt and exited the jeep from the driver's side.

"I know this area. We're not far from the hangar."

Aaron leaned through the window and removed the keys from the ignition.

"Why are you taking the keys?"

Loud shouts drifted down to where they were standing.

"No time to explain."

They ran through the forest toward the direction of the hangar, ducking deeper into the forest, before coming to a trail. They didn't used the trail but followed it.

Wiping the blood from his face, Aaron looked behind to make sure no one was following them.

"Is this the only way to the hangar?"

"This is the only way on foot."

Leaves and branches crunched under their feet the further they walked. But that's the only sound he heard.

Aaron grabbed Theo's arm. "I don't like this. It's too quiet."

"What do you mean?"

It was then they heard the noise, coming from the direction they were heading to.

"They're trying to cut us off."

"Do you have a plan?"

Aaron took the bag from Theo and pulled out the bullets for the shotgun.

"Kill as many as we can."
