"We have two of our men watching Pawel."

"Right now, our main priority is finding Aaron." Harold pointed at Justin's photo. "This is George Boyd's son Justin Boyd. He was raised by his father until his death. He was adopted by a couple months before Aaron."

"If he lived with his father during those years, do you think his father abused him?" Kevin asked.

"I doubt it."

"I think his father made him watch those videos of Aaron. How else would he know about him?"

"So, Aaron was brought by the father as a gift to his son?" Kaia asked.

Kyle glanced at her. It was hard to miss the anger on her face. She had actually grown up with Aaron after he had been adopted. Although it had taken months before Aaron had warmed up to her. She was protective of him just as everyone in this room.

"Howard kept information on this organization. Kevin, he has everything in a safe."

"I'll get them for you."

"Okay."

"We need to check out Trappas Bar."

"That's on the list. Your father has an informant there. Find out everything you can from him."

"Can we trust him?"

"I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get to it."

"Okay."

"It's already sunrise. Aaron has been missing for a couple of hours now."

"Justin had years to plan this abduction. That woman must have taken a photo of Aaron and given it to him. They knew about Aaron all this time."

"What do you think Justin wants from him?"

Kyle hands fisted at the thought of what this guy was doing to Aaron. It was a good thing Logan wasn't here to hear this. He looked at his watch for the time. It was almost twelve in the afternoon.

"If Justin is depraved as his father was, then he will try to reinact those videos."

"Aaron isn't a child anymore."

"I don't think he cares."

"Are we sure there isn't more to this situation?"

Kyle's gaze went to Kaia. "What do you mean?"

"Maybe we're missing something."

Kyle couldn't think of what was missing from the equation. Was there more to the kidnapping than they initially thought? He hoped not. It was already difficult enough trying to find Aaron's location.

"I think it's time to visit Arthur."

"Why?"

" I think he might know more than we do."

The meeting didn't last long, which Kyle was grateful for at the moment.

He couldn't stand to sit there any longer with nerves itching at the thought of Aaron being alone with that delusional psychopath. First, it was Dirk Sinclair, now this obsessed lunatic. He was heading to the exit, when he heard his name being called out loud. He spun around on his heels to find Kaia striding fast towards him.

"I'm not in the mood for bullshit. I want you to tell me everything." Her no nonsense tone demanded the truth from him.

Kyle sighed, "Aaron has been investigating on the sidelines."

"Why?"

"We found out he was being followed."

"Followed by whom?"

"A few weeks back, some guys planned to ambush him but he managed to evade them."

"What else?"

"While we were investigating, we had a few minor problems."

"Does it have anything to do with what's going on now?"

"Yeah, it does."

"What about Pawel? What is his involvement?"

Kyle paused at the question, unsure of what to tell her. But in the end he decided to tell her half of the truth.

"What are you guys doing out here?"

They both turned to look at Harold who was exiting a room on their right. This room was used to store evidence. Kyle glanced down at the folder in his hand.

"I'm going to check on Logan then head over to Trappas Bar."

Logan has been holed up in Aaron's apartment, refusing to leave. Kyle knew he blamed himself for what happened to Aaron. His family was also staying in the same apartment building.

"Be careful over there."

"Don't worry. No one at that bar knows me."

"I still want you to be careful."

"Yes, sir." Kyle nodded his at the two before walking away.

The weather outside was bright with clear skies but the heat from the sun was overly hot, making the place humid.

The heat beat down on him as he hastily made his way to his car.

He got in the vehicle and turned on the air-conditioning. Sighing at the cool breeze, he pulled the glove compartment open and grabbed the envelope he had stuck in there earlier. It contained photos of Pawel at different locations, either by himself or with the same woman.

He vaguely remembered Pawel from the academy. They hadn't talked much to each other, but only hang out a couple of times. He had caught Pawel sneaking peaks at Aaron back then but had paid no attention to those glances.

With a twist of his fingers, he started the engine and pulled away from the curb. He drove straight to Aaron's apartment building and took the elevator up to his floor. He entered the room, using the spare key.

Logan wasn't in the living-room, so he headed to the bedroom door. The door opened and he spotted Logan sitting on the bed, staring down at his phone.

"Logan, why are you staring at your phone?"

"I don't want to miss if Aaron calls me."

Kyle sat down and pulled Logan into his arms. "I know you're worried but Aaron is going to be fine. Aaron has been through a lot and he's very resilient."

Logan stared at him, a desperate plea in his eyes. "I just want him home with us."

"We're going to find him."
