The rhythmic tick of the clock echoed like a beacon and Aaron glanced at the clock on the wall. He looked down at the two unconscious bodies on the bed. A twinge of guilt ran in the back of his mind but he shook it off. He had to do this or Dirk will never stop coming after Logan.

Aaron slipped out of bed and made his way downstairs to grab the bag from the room. With the bag in one hand, he left the house but stopped to look back.

Don't worry. I'll be back safe.

Aaron had made sure to left weapons that was easily accessible. He had shown Kyle all the places that he had stashed guns just in case anything unexpected should happen. He knew Kyle would be able to protect Logan.

He gripped the handle of the bag before he proceeded to the jeep he had concealed. He had made sure Kyle was unaware of all this, opting to go on this solo mission. When he reached a secluded area, Aaron pulled the camouflaged cover off, revealing the black jeep. He got in the vehicle, put the bag on the passenger seat and started the engine. Before driving off, he sent a message to Harold.

On the drive, Aaron took the phone he had purchased and shut it off so Kyle couldn't reach him or ping his location. Dirk's location had been sent to him earlier. The ringing of his other phone echoed in the vehicle.

"Hello."

"How far away are you?" The voice asked.

"I'll be there in half an hour. What's up?"

"Kyle is going to be angry that you kept him out of your plan."

Not only Kyle. Logan as well.

"I know. But this has to be done now."

"I'll be waiting for you at the spot."

"Make sure you have everything set up." Aaron hung up the phone.

The jeep accelerated as Aaron pressed on the gas. He knew Kyle would be calling his phone when he realized Aaron wasn't on the property.

He pulled the jeep onto the dirt road he was instructed to take but made sure his vehicle was out of sight. He grabbed the bag from the backseat then exited the vehicle. With the bag slung over his shoulder, he tread lightly through the trees. Aaron spotted Kevin standing with his back against a tree, eyes trained in his direction.

"How far away are we from the house?"

"Not far. We need to keep a low profile until we take down his men."

"Why did you decided to help me?"

"It's been a while since I've helped out in the field. I miss the action."

Aaron opened the bag bypassed the shotgun and handed Kevin a night vision goggle with thermal imaging.

"Don't forget what I thought you."

"Oh, that's a sure thing. My body still remembers everything."

Aaron chuckled, "We should catch up on your training."

"I think that we..."

As if on cue, the sound of a vehicle starting broke the conversation. Both turned their heads in the direction of the noise. A dark black van drove past their hiding spot, heading to the other side. Aaron placed the googles to his eyes to get a better view of the van. It was a plain van with no markings or any kind of logo.

"Looks like it's time to go." Aaron told Kevin.

They stealthily made their way over to the high fence and Aaron took his time assessing the wall. He slung the bag over his shoulder, took a deep breath and ran forward, jumping up with his right leg landing on the wall before grabbing the top of the wall, securing a tight hold with both hands.

Aaron pulled himself up and over the wall, landing softly on his feet. He took off the bag and placed it on the ground. He gave Kevin the signal and waited for the latter to follow him.

With both of them clearing the wall, Aaron took the bag from the ground.

Dirk had chosen this particular location because no one was able to infiltrate it. Dirk's men were well-trained. So, it had taken days to arrange this plan.

"We're all set." Aaron heard from his earpiece.

"Good. We don't have a lot of time. We go in and get out." Aaron motioned to Kevin, who gave him a nod and they silently separated.

Clad head to toe in his black tactical gear, Aaron kneeled down next to a parked car. He pulled a bomb from the bag and attached it to the undercarriage of the vehicle. He did the same to each vehicle he encountered.

"All done on this side." Kevin informed him.

"Same here."

Hearing a noise from his left, he spotted one of Dirk's men walking toward the vehicle. Aaron slinked around the vehicle, making sure not to make any noise. Approaching from behind, he encircled the guy's neck in a choke hold. The guy struggled but Aaron's tight hold made it impossible for him to escape.

Only when the guy's arms went limp did Aaron released his hold. He lowered the body to the ground and dragged it out of sight. He pulled his gun from its holster and aimed it as he walked towards the first door.

"I'm at the door. How's it looking on the inside? Any movements?"

"Monitor is picking up more than twenty bodies."

"Weapons?"

"All of them well-armed."

"Kevin, take the back."

"Backup is surrounding the place. If anything seems amiss, give your signal."

"Will do."

Aaron backtracked from the door and headed for the side wall. He eyed the grooves of the wall but they were too small. He put his back against the wall, counting to ten as he started to move. When his fingers felt the metal, he stopped and looked up at the ladder. He grabbed the metal and hoisted himself up.
