For the whole night Logan twisted and turn, as sleep evaded him. He rolled onto his side, eyes on the door.
Aaron had walked out the door without giving him a backward glance. He mentality berate himself for his attitude towards Aaron. Yes, he had lied to him but nothing major that would warrant him acting like a jackass.
He turned to lay on his back, staring up at the ceiling. As he stared at the ceiling, Logan felt as though he had forgotten something. It was there at the edge of his mind but it stayed out of reach.
He let out a frustrated sigh and got out of bed. He had just taken a couple of steps when a memory from last night came trickling to him. But bits and pieces.
"I regret meeting you. You flaunt those eyes just to get people to sleep with you."
Logan eyes widened in disbelief. He had actually said those things to Aaron.
"Why don't you get hell out of my life?"
Logan couldn't believe he had been so heartless to utter those words. No wonder Aaron was behaving differently towards him. He opened his door and looked out at where he knew Aaron was asleep.
Opening the door, he tiptoed to the sofa, careful not to make any noise.
It had to be tiring. Between protecting him from a psychopathic teacher that could strike anytime to still doing his own police work. But he never complained nor neglected him.
Logan looked down at Aaron's sleeping face with regret. He knelt down and reached out a hand to touch his face.
"I'm so sorry about the way I've been acting towards you. I'm sorry for everything I said to you. I didn't mean any of it"
Logan caressed the smooth skin, tracing every angle of Aaron's face.
"I still like you a lot and I'm happy that you're here with me." He leaned forward and kissed him on the mouth. "You're the best thing that ever happened to me and I don't regret meeting you."
Logan gave him another kiss before standing up. He had to make this up to Aaron. Starting tomorrow, he would treat him exactly how he deserved to be treated.
He went into the bedroom and straight to bed. He laid there for a minute before sleep finally took him.

When he woke up it was to the sound of Aaron walking about in the living-room. He quickly got up, brushed his mouth and took a shower. He exited the bedroom and saw Aaron at the stove."Good morning. Something smells good."
Aaron turned to him. "There's breakfast on the table."
"You're up early. What time did you wake up?" Logan asked eyeing the plates of pancakes, eggs and sausages.
"I'm always up at this time." Aaron told him.
"Can I ask you a question?"
"What is it?"
"Why did you took this undercover job?"
Aaron paused to look at him silently for a minute. "Why do you want to know?"
"You told me that everything you did wasn't because of your job."
"I took this undercover job to be close to you."
"Why?"
"After I saw you on the television then at the trial, all I wanted to do was be there for you and protect you."
"Oh..." Logan watched him, held captivated by the mixtures of colors in his eyes. The combination of brown green and gold added to his handsomeness.
"We should eat or you'll be late for class."
"Are you still going to attend classes with me?"
"Yes, I will."
All during the ride to college, Logan still berated himself for his words but he couldn't take them back. Hopefully Kaia won't find out about what he said to Aaron.
"Do you like being a business major?"
"I took business class already so I don't mind taking it again."
"Does Detective Finn know that Dirk escaped prison?"
"He's trying to find out who helped him escape."
"Why did he killed April and Daniel?"
"They were your friends. He probably tried to get information from them."
"Do you know where he is?"
"We still haven't been able to find where he's hiding. But I believe it's somewhere that gives him easy access to kidnap your friends easily."
"My Aunt hasn't called me yet so I guess she doesn't know that Dirk escaped. When she finds out, she's going to want me to move back home."
"I'll keep you safe. You're not going anywhere."
When Aaron pulled into the parking lot, Kaia was waiting at her car. He got out the vehicle and walked towards her. She glanced between him and Aaron with a questioning gaze.
He looked back at Aaron then back at her with shrug. He wasn't sure what was happening between them anymore.
"How's it going guys?"
Aaron made his way up the steps, holding their bags in one hand. He looked at his watch. "What are you doing here so early?"
"You know if I had known that I would be taking these classes again, I would have turned down the job."
Logan laughed at her, "It's too late to change your mind."
"I don't mind. You're stuck with me."
"Come on, let's get to class." Aaron gave him a small smile.
Logan was just about to turn when he spotted a woman stumbling across the parking lot. At first he thought his mind was playing tricks on him but the woman kept stumbling forward.
"Aaron, look over there. Is she drunk?" When she was close to Aaron's jeep, she fell forward onto the ground.
Aaron took off running towards her.
"Aaron, wait!" Logan chased after him, footsteps pounding on the ground. By that time a crowd had gathered.
Logan pushed his way through the bodies until he finally spotted Aaron crouching next to the woman. He peered down at the woman and he gasped. It was the waitress that had suddenly quit working at the diner.
Aaron looked up at him and threw him the keys. "Get the blanket from the back of my jeep."
Kaia had reached over to kneel at the woman's side. "Is she alive?"
"Her pulse is thready. Call the ambulance."
Logan left to get the blanket and raced back to the crowd. He handed the blanket to Aaron, who put the blanket over her body.
Aaron pulled his phone from his pocket. "Logan dial number two on my phone. Tell the Dean to come quickly with the security guard."
Logan quickly pressed the number and relayed the message to the Dean.
"He's on his way."
"Logan, stay close to me."
