"He hasn't returned to his dorm since yesterday. We asked around but no one has seen him."
The figure stared up at the building as smoke drifted from the cigarette in his mouth. He took the cigarette from his mouth and dropped it to the ground, crushing it underneath his foot.
"Did you search his dorm?"
"The place is swarming with students."
"So, just pretend you're a family member."
"Listen, I tried to enter his room but it was impossible."
"I thought you were able to enter any place."
"Yeah, well. This is a lock mechanism that I've never seen before."
Silence reigned on the other for a full minute. Just the sound of this guy breathing heavily.
"Did you find out the identity of the guy he hangs out with?"
"He's just another college student."
"I don't care. It's obvious he means a lot to Logan. We can use him as bait to lure Logan."
"He looks familiar to me. I think I've seen him before."
"Work with that. Try to remember and get any information you can on this guy. No matter how small it is."
"Yes sir."
The figure glanced at the building one last time before driving off. He drove straight to the diner intending to break in but was surprised when he saw the remains of the burned building.
He parked two streets down then retraced his steps stopping a few meters away and pulled out his phone and dialed Dirk's number.
"We may have a problem."
"What is it?"
"The diner was burned down."
There was a slight pause on the other end of the phone.
"Did you give one of my guys that order?"
"No. It would be a waste of time."
"Whatever, I don't care. We can't let that deter us."
The dial tone echoed in his ear. He turned away from the burned building and walked back to his vehicle.

"I ran her print." Alex handed the folder to Aaron. "Adrienne Hendrix, nineteen years old."
Kyle glanced at the sheet covered body with regret. Although he hadn't known the victim it wasn't easy seeing her lifeless body lying there on that cold slab. He glanced up at Aaron and he fisted his hands in anger.
"Have her parents been notified?"
"Yeah. They're on their here."
"Thanks again Alex. I'll see you later."
"Don't forget. Drinks at my place Friday night."
Kyle's eyebrows raised to his hairline. What the hell did she mean?
"I won't." Aaron said walking towards the door.
"What was she talking about?"
"Oh...she invited me out for drinks."
Kyle footsteps came to a stop. "Why would she invite you out?"
"Because...I'm her friend."
Kyle liked Alex but he didn't want her alone with Aaron. He gets jealous easily but always kept it under wraps.
"We should head over to the office."
Harold's office was on the fifth floor so they opted to take the elevator. He knocked then opened the door.
"Detective Finn went to visit Logan's Aunt."
Kyle gave Aaron a side eye glance when he saw him paused for miniscule. If he wasn't aware of his every move, he probably would missed it.
"Why?"
"To inform her about Dirk escaping."
This was the first time he was hearing about this. But he guessed Aaron knew about it, given his slight reaction.
"How did she take the news?"
"She was raging at first but calmed down after talking to her nephew."
"Was that why you wanted to see us?"
"No, it wasn't the only reason."
Harold opened his drawer and pulled a package. He held it up in his hand, showing them.
"What is it?"
Harold emptied the contents onto his desk with a sigh. There was a DVD along with a photo album and a Keychain with a flash drive attached to it. Kyle walked over to the desk and picked up the album. He flipped through the album and saw a photos of a younger Aaron, tied to a bed.
"Where did you get these?" Kyle asked as white hot anger course through him.
"In my mailbox."
By then, Aaron had walked over to Harold's desk. He froze when he saw the photo album. Kyle turned slowly to Aaron. "Do you recognized this?"
"No, I don't." Aaron shook his head but it looked forced to Kyle.
"Did he drugged you?" Harold asked in a stern voice.
Kyle threw the album on the desk at the question. Harold picked up the DVD and Aaron literally stilled at seeing the round disc.
"I thought it had something to do with Logan. So I watched it. But when I saw it was a child, I knew it had nothing to do with Logan." Harold fiddled with the disc.
Kyle stared at Aaron who shifted his body to avoid their gazes.
"Sir, I need to carry my partner home."
Harold got up from his desk. "I don't know who sent this package. There was a note in there as well."
Kyle scanned the items but found no paper. "I don't see any paper."
"I burned it."
Aaron's phone started ringing. "Hey Kaia." His voice sounded shaky. "No, I'm fine. Just have a slight sore throat." He left the room without a word, still talking on his phone.
Kyle watched door closed before turning to Harold. "What was on the paper?"
Harold sighed, "Aaron's dad had a right hand man who also shared the same perverted thoughts. We were wrong."
"Wrong?"
"His dad wasn't the only one that molested Aaron."
Kyle's stomach cramped at the thought that Aaron had been molested by more than one person.
"How many?"
"It doesn't mention that detail. It only states that his dad loved sharing him."
"Why was his dad the only one arrested for the crime?"
"We only caught him and he confessed."
He didn't want to hear any more of this. "Is his dad still in prison?"
"As far as I know he's in solitary confinement."
Kyle had one more question to ask because he really needed to know.
"Was he raped in that video?"
