Intermission: Part 3

Jax POV

I didn't like my current situation.

I just poured my heart out and explained the situation, but Muji didn't seem to care.

"I-Is he crazy? I just explained why Leonard was bad news...but he's making things worse!!"

"Hmm. So you're not only his friend, but his best friend. Interesting."

I swallowed a nervous gulp when I seen Leonard's hand twitch.

"Leonard...I-I don't-

"Jax."

Muji addressed me without even turning around.

"Be quiet, you sound like a bitch."

Suddenly, Muji looked so...different.

"So you said you're name was Muji right? It looks like you know who I am. I kindly ask you to back up, I'm afraid I might catch the scum disease."

"For someone born with it, you sure are scared of something you should be used to."

I could tell, Leonard was getting mad. Muji had a bad talent for pissing the enemy off when it was the last thing we needed.

"Muji he can seriously kill us both...what are you doin-

"Didn't I tell you to shut up coward?"

I flinched a bit, I could hear the clear disappointment in his voice.

"No he's right. Once I'm done with you I'll go kill those two girls you were-

I heard a loud impact noise as I seen Leonard fly a few feet in the air. Air left my lungs when I seen the color red flying over my head.

"I was already pissed off, don't tempt me princess. Royalty or not you threaten my sister or anyone of my people again I'll kill you."

Leonard stood up while laughing, blood leaking from his nose. He then became serious as he began to leak mana, the area shaking.

"You lowly rat, did you just assault and threaten a member of the royal family?"

"I assaulted a member of A royal family, one that has no power in this country."

Muji released his mana as well as the raw energy between the two began to clash. I watched in raw shock of the situation before me, the person I feared the most was in an open confrontation with whom I respect the most.

And I was here, helpless and shaking.

"Like a damn weakling!!"

"Get lost pretty boy. I wasn't done talking to my friend."

Leonard and Muji glared at each other once more before Leonard just began to walk off, his mana fading away.

"Watch your back commoner."

"Sure."

Leonard walked off as Muji turned and looked at me, his eyes showed signs of disappointment and confusion.

"Jax what the hell happened there? You...let me calm down."

Muji sat down next to me as we sat against the wall.
