Intermission: Part 1

Muji POV

"Oh my goodness Muji look at all your scars. It's kind of scary but cool at the same time."

Karin was looking at my shirtless state as I laughed nervously, my shirt had been torn during my fight with Jax and I didn't know how she'd react.

"Well I won't tell you this Boken stuff is easy. I've gotten beat up a bunch of times, same with Mya."

Mya nodded and shivered a bit.

"It's scary too.."

"Hey Muji, you said you'd protect my granddaughter."

I flinched a bit and held my hands up defensively.

"I have been Mr Nate. She has way less scars than I do, trust me."

Mr Nate got even more upset.

"So you're saying you know her body well?! Is that it you punk?!"

"No sir we just train together all the time!"

Karin and Mya somehow found this funny as they laughed, but truth be told I was a bit scared. Back when Mr Nate hit me in the past it was nothing to scoff at.

"Oh leave the boy alone you old fool. Muji my boy, how have you been?"

Moira stepped in and saved me, thank god.

"I've been decent Moira, thanks. You look well."

"I've been good myself."

I felt Karin tap my shoulder as I turned back around.

"Yeah?"

"I just want to talk more...this is my first time seeing you in so long. I'm a little excited."

I laughed and hugged Karin.

"Well then let's talk. How are the little ones? Don't tell me they're still making trouble."

"Well you know from the letters that they've been improving a bit. Daiki awakens soon too so I've been teaching him about it like you did for me."

I nodded.

"Thanks for that, I would do it myself but as you can tell..."

Karin laughed before leaning into my arm.

"You're so cool Muji. I was watching you fight all those people, you didn't even use your weapons! You were like something out of a fairytale. I wish I could be as cool as you."

I hummed.

"That's impossible Karin, you're already way cooler than me. All I do is hurt people, you don't want to be like that. Trust me."

I patted Karin's head before standing up.

"I'll be back. There's a few people I gotta talk to before the second event starts. Keep Mya company while I'm gone."

Karin pouted a bit but nodded and began talking to Mya, probably about girl stuff. I began to sense the area for Jax, but with all these people here I couldn't pinpoint him exactly.

I was about to go to Adjest since I seen her, but I was stopped by Ms Shinmon.

"Got damn you were great out there kid!!"

Ms Shinmon smacked my back and pulled me into a nuggie.

"Thanks Ms Shinmon."

"I noticed you were holding back though. Why didn't you use your daggers?"

I scratched the back of my head a bit.

"Well, I only really want to use them if I'm trying to kill something. I don't know how to not kill when I'm using them...if that makes sense..."
