(continuation from last chapter)

Nick had switched on the T.V and the news channel had popped up.

AFL Star Nick Daicos hopes for Brownlow crushed

"Collingwood weren't doing the best with Nick Daicos, can't even imagine without him-" The reporter had been cut off as Nick had switched off the T.V

"I doubt you guys will do bad - even if you do, there's always next year, and the year after that, and it just keeps going" I told Nick. "I shouldn't be angry at them, because it's true" Nick sighed.

"It'll get better, don't worry" I hope it did get better for Nick. I didn't want to promise anything, though.

"Oh" I raised my eyebrows. "What?" Nick blankly said. "Celine's in a bit of a tough situation, I don't want to say anything, yet - sorry" I told Nick. "All good, I'll catch you around?" He asked.

"Yeah definitely, get better soon" I hugged him as I got up. "Thanks Mads, cya" He smiled. "Bye" I waved.

I walked in Celine's house and saw Gigi comforting Celine. Celine's makeup was smudged, she was crying - she was broken. I ran over to the pair and I hugged Celine.

"What happened?" I asked, concerned for her. "So, I - I went on - a date - a-and on the date, I- I- he was a dick" Celine sobbed. Gigi lipped to me 'period'.

Nicks POV:

Not long after Madison left, Josh had visited. We were just talking for a bit until he asked me something. "Nick, your being annoying now - seriously, what's wrong? Get over the fact you can't play-" "it's not that" I cut him off. "Oh — then what is it?" He asked.

I was contemplating whether I should tell him or not. I didn't want him to be annoyed with me, but I should tell him. "Hello?" Josh called. "I miss Madison" I sighed, head in hands. "So then ask her to be your girlfriend" He replied. "It's not that easy" I jerked my head up.

"You know the Brownlow's coming up - don't you want to be seen with Mads?" Josh asked. "Shit I completely forgot about that" I groaned. "You think you guys will be together by then" Josh asked.

"Probably not because I'll get scared and stuff things up" I predicted. "So then don't get scared and stuff things up" Josh recommended. "If only I didn't fuck things up, I always think what situation i'd be in" I thought. "You could ask Annalise" Josh told me.

That's right, Annalise was literally in a similar posterior to me. "I don't know" I replied. "Ask her for advise, or figure things out yourself - it's just you Nick, remember that" Josh said, patting me on the shoulder whilst getting up. "I'm going to the bathroom" He told me.

Where would I be if I didn't fuck things up.
