Jack and Isaac, playfully teased me about Carlton's recent loss.
"Imagine not making grannies," Isaac joked, echoing the sentiment shared by many.
"One, look how far we've come, two, don't get too cocky," I responded, rolling my eyes with a playful smirk, but the tension was building.
Jack, the formidable footy player, leaned in with a sly grin. "So, we're playing Not Carlton, Brisbane next week, Q, I'll repeat, not Carlton, Brisbane."
I could feel irritation bubbling within me. "Everyone knows that, Jack," I retorted, the annoyance in my voice now unmistakable.
Isaac attempted to defuse the situation, patting my shoulder as he grabbed a bottle of water. "Woah, relax a bit, Mads."
"I am relaxed!" I groaned, my frustration growing palpable.
"You sure?" Jack raised an eyebrow, his teasing tone pushing me further.
"Shut the hell up, Jack! You're being so annoying!" I snapped, my temper flaring.
"What's up your ass?" One of them muttered.
I couldn't hold it in any longer. "A fucking baby, try being pregnant!" The words slipped out before I could stop them.
"Huh!?" They both cocked their heads in bewilderment.
"Shit! Shit! Shit! Don't tell anyone I told you!" I cursed, immediately regretting my slip.
"You're pregnant?!" Isaac covered his mouth in surprise.
"Why wouldn't you tell us?!" Jack's smile widened as he realized the magnitude of my revelation.
"Only you guys know! Celine and Gigi because they were there, and that's it! Oh, also Nick, of course, but shit! Please don't tell anyone!" I bit my nails anxiously.
"We promise we won't tell anyone. If you ever need anything, let us know," the boys grinned, their support shining through.
I couldn't help but feel horrible. I had told how many people? And Nick probably hasn't even told one person!
Now I really need to watch what I'm saying and who to.
