Chapter 9: Wave Of Emotions

*Sam's P.O.V*

Arriving at the dojo left a new wave of emotions flowing through me. It felt different. Probably because of the fact that this is the first time I'm near Hawk after that night at his house where we watched movies together.

We decided to keep it a secret between the two of us.

Even though Demetri and Moon knew about us watching movies together, it didn't mean other people need to know what happened.

I, for sure, think that Miguel should know what's going on. But how would we tell him?

So it needs to be a secret for now.

It'll be okay.

Miguel and Demetri weren't here yet but Hawk was. So I walked towards him.

He saw me approaching him and then said, "Hey, Sam."

"Hey." I smiled at him.

"How are you?"

"I'm good, and you?"

"Good." He nodded.

"I'm glad."

It was quiet for a few moments as we were standing next to each other, not saying a word. But then he broke the ice.

"So the whole movie night will still stay a secret between us?" He asked.

"Yeah." I nodded, "It's best if no one else knows."

"Including Miguel?"

"Including Miguel." I confirmed.

"But one day, he'll have to know." He softly said.

"I know but it has to happen at the right time." I sighed and tried to not think about it too much.

Miguel finding out that Hawk and I were hanging out could end bad. Especially if he were to find out that I also have a crush on his best friend.

He wouldn't take it well. I know that.

"He'll be more pissed off at me when he finds out."

"Or he could be more pissed off at me." I looked at Hawk.

"Everyone knows how much he cares about you. He'll give you a free pass." He eyed me and that made me shrug.

And speaking of Miguel, he arrived at the dojo with Demetri and they walked towards the both of us.

"Hey, guys." Miguel said.

"Hey." Hawk said on behalf of the two of us.

"What's up?" Demetri asked.

"Just waiting for training to begin. Hopefully it goes well." I said.

"We can only hope." Miguel sighed but he was keeping hope that training will go smoothly.

I have hope too.

"How did your talk with Johnny go?" Hawk then asked Miguel.

"I tried to reason with him to the best of my ability." Miguel explained, "He said that he would think about it."

"Hopefully he was able to think about it before my dad went over to talk to him." I said.

Again, I have no idea how the talk between them went. My dad won't tell me anything.

"We'll just have to see how today's training will go." Demetri said.

Soon enough, other students and then our two senseis arrived.

We got into rows where Miyagi-Do is in the front and then Eagle Fang is behind us. Then we bowed.

When they started talking, they were telling us that they have different paths to getting us to the All Valley and how two karate styles can be confusing.
