Eli💙: Just had a quick check up on my arm. The doctors said that I could get my cast off in a couple of weeks.
Me: That's great. I'm sure you can't wait to get the cast off.
Eli💙: You have no idea.
Eli💙: The cast is so annoying.
Eli💙: Once I have the cast off, I'll be able to start karate training again and drive wherever.
Me: We could have another date soon.
Eli💙: I'm already planning the perfect date, princess.
Me: I wish you were here.
Me: I want your cuddles.
Eli💙: I'll see you soon. Maybe you can come over in a few days.
Me: Yeah, I'll come over.
Eli💙: Come by and stay the night 😉
Me: You just don't want me to leave your house.
Eli💙: That and also because we're going to be busy with each other.
The blush that appeared on my face made me so red in the cheeks. The way Eli has with words, it makes me so giddy inside.
Me: Smooth, Eli. 😂
Eli💙: Smooth is my middle name.
Me: You're insane lol but that's what I love about you. ❤️
Eli💙: I love you too, Samantha LaRusso. 🥰
I couldn't help but grin as I read Eli's texts, each one bringing a burst of joy to my day. There I was, sitting at the kitchen table, hastily enjoying a sandwich during my short lunch break.
But as soon as Eli's messages popped up on my screen, everything else seemed to fade into the background.
The sandwich, now forgotten in my hand, grew cold as I got lost in the conversation. Each text from Eli was like a ray of sunshine, brightening my day and making me forget about the chaos around me.
I chuckled at his witty remarks, feeling a warm connection through the digital exchange.
Just as I was lost in the moment, the kitchen door swung open, and I looked up to see Chozen making his entrance.
His vibrant floral shirt caught my eye and brought a smile to my face. Chozen had a way of commanding attention, effortlessly filling the room with his confident presence.
As he walked over to the fridge, his every move seemed deliberate and purposeful. The light from inside the fridge illuminated his features, making him stand out even more.
I watched him search for something to eat, his actions carrying a certain significance that intrigued me.
I sometimes forget that Chozen is still living with us, helping out my dad even though we aren't dealing with karate right now.
So sometimes his presence will surprise me.
"Hey, Samantha-San." Chozen said once he saw me as he grabbed a burrito and put it in the microwave.
"Hi, Chozen." I said, texting Eli back, promising a FaceTime call later.
"Just having some lunch." He tells me as the microwave went off and he grabbed the burrito.
