*Sam's P.O.V*
The warm hues of the setting sun bathed the canyon in a soft glow as I worked alongside Moon and Yasmine, arranging tables clothed in vibrant colors for the night's festivities.
The air was alive with anticipation, the kind that tickles your stomach and makes your heart dance just a little faster.
We meticulously placed cups and plates, ensuring everything looked as inviting as the party we imagined.
A few feet away, Eli reclined in a chair, his eyes following our movements with a quiet appreciation. I couldn't help but steal glances at him, remembering how he had pitched in earlier.
Despite his casual demeanor now, his earlier efforts hadn't gone unnoticed. He had a way of making even the mundane task of setting up feel significant, his presence a steady comfort.
As the final touches were added, I stepped back to take it all in. The tables stood ready to welcome our friends, laden with the promise of good food and laughter.
I felt a surge of excitement for the evening ahead, the kind that only comes when you know you've created something special.
And with Eli here, the night seemed to hold even more promise. The party was about to begin, and I was ready to soak up every moment.
"So Stingray is on his way with the drinks." I tell Moon and Yasmine.
"Did he tell you that?" Yasmine asked.
"Bert did." I confirmed.
I texted Bert to ask him to talk to Stingray about bringing the alcohol. Bert had said that Stingray agreed and that was that.
Yasmine already bought so many boxes of pizza and even got Moon's vegan pigs in a blanket.
And let me tell you, those taste amazing. I have tried them.
"People should be arriving soon." Moon said as she's wearing maroon shorts and this cute white tank top that's cropped.
Her hair is in pretty braids and she, of course, has the accessories.
"I'm going to go and talk to Eli." I said as I let my friends know and they nodded as I started to walk towards my blue haired boyfriend who is still sitting in the lawn chair, trying to be comfortable.
"Are you alright?" I asked him.
"Yeah." He nodded, "The fresh air smells nice."
"And I'm sure once the party starts, it'll be fun."
"I could use some fun."
I smiled. "Just you wait. The rest of the dojo should be arriving soon."
"Come here." He said and as I got closer to him, he pulled me to him and then he planted a soft kiss on my lips.
I kissed back but I tried to keep it under control. I didn't want to cause a make out session when the dojo would be here soon. Don't want to bring attention to us.
Even though I know people always make out at the Canyon.
"Hey, lovebirds." I heard Yasmine yell.
"Yeah?" I yelled back to her once Eli and I stopped kissing.
"Guests are arriving." Moon tells us.
And they were right.
I see Miguel with Robby and Tory. Then Demetri came out of his own car. Bert, Nate, and Stingray arrived as well and I could see Stingray carrying an ice chest.
