Soon enough, it was time for the final boys' semifinal match. Which would be Eli going against Miguel.

Who would've thought that I would be in this predicament? Where my current boyfriend is going against my ex-boyfriend in what could be an epic showdown.

I haven't talked to Miguel since the whole prom fight thing happened and it leaves some questions without any answers. Do I even want to know what the answers are?

But time to put my focus onto the upcoming match.

"All right. Don't forget to breathe out there. How are you feeling?" My dad asked Eli.

"I'm okay." Eli answered, "Not exactly thrilled to be fighting my friend."

I smiled lightly at Eli's comment. It's nice to know that him and Miguel are on the same page again and aren't at odds with one another. They're best friends and nothing could change that.

"It doesn't help that nobody's ever beaten Miguel either." Demetri said.

We looked at him with a 'really?' look.

"Sorry, shouldn't have said that out loud." He apologized.

What was he thinking when he said that?

I turned to my boyfriend, "At least you'll know how he'll fight. Because Johnny taught you too."

Eli gave me a look in which I couldn't read but I didn't pay attention to it. He knows this constant battle that I had with my dad about training with Johnny. And sure, I may have said that to put a dig out to my dad but hey, it's the truth. Eli will know how Miguel will fight. He'll easily know what to do.

My dad gave me a look as well but I dismissed it. I didn't care.

Then my dad said to Eli, "Listen, don't forget your blocks. Stay patient. All right? You got this."

Eli nodded before he got onto the mat, along with Miguel. They were talking to each other before they did their handshake and then their fight started.

Eli blocked an upcoming punch from Miguel before ducking when another one came towards him.

They went back and forth with punches before they did a kick at the same time. But because they blocked the kick, it stopped anyone from gaining a point.

The punches and kicks continued before Miguel hit another kick towards Eli but he fell down to the ground as he blocked it.

Then I watched as Miguel jumped into the air and I realized what he was about to do. He's going to do the flying tornado kick that Johnny taught us.

He must've been practicing it as well.

But as Miguel was in the air, a loud crack can be heard throughout the arena and then he's on the ground.

Eli immediately crouched down beside Miguel.

A wave of shock painted itself onto my face and I couldn't believe it. I wasn't expecting to see Miguel get hurt as medics went over to him and then helped him to the medical room.

The tournament came to a halt and the announcer gave Miguel thirty minutes to take a break.

Because that semifinals match came to a halt, it meant that the tournament can let the other semifinals match happen.

Which it was Demetri vs. Robby.

Even when I cheered loud for Demetri, the result wasn't how we wanted.

He lost to Robby but he put up a good fight. He did really good and it made me impressed with him.

I patted Demetri on the shoulder once he came back to stand next to Eli and I.
